reliable, comfortable cruiser - 1998 Chevrolet Lumina
By Pete - November 22 - 4:57 pmBought this as a used, first car for a new driver due to good crash test ratings. Over the 5 yrs we have had it, I am impressed with the comfortable, quiet ride and high overall reliability and low operating costs.. Highly recommended..

Boaty- - 1998 Chevrolet Lumina
By NickoSweetConfidence - November 7 - 9:55 amI bought my Lumina from my boyfriends mom in November of 2008. It had 180,000 miles when I got it, now has 215,000. Im the second owner. I have had to fix some minor issues here and there but the car is amazing. Takes it like i give it. I have no disappointments in the way it drives or handles. Incredibly reliable. Gas mileage is pretty good, without sacrificing power, which is great with todays economy. I recommend this car to anyone looking for a roomy, comfortable, reliable vehicle.

Dependable Family Car - 1997 Chevrolet Lumina
By Thomas - November 1 - 6:25 amI bought this car with 126k mi. Dealer had replaced fuel sending unit and ABS sensors as terms of sale. It now has around 150k and it is still as smooth as some of the newer cars. It gets good mileage, my last trip to NJ consumed less than a quarter tank (2hr trip). Handles well in rain and snow. I have ran this car on synthetic oil and platinum plugs since my first tune up.

Very Reliable - 1998 Chevrolet Lumina
By Josh - October 22 - 3:53 amI purchased the car when it had 141,000 and it now has 156,000 The car is great. The engine and ride are both smooth and it is steady at 20 MPG. The only thing I would change is the turning radius. It can be a pain but, overall the car is the best Ive ever owned.I wish they were still making them.

3.1 gives great milage - 1997 Chevrolet Lumina
By Tom - October 3 - 12:50 amI drove this as a co car since new. Bought it back from Co. at 140,000 miles Always had it serviced by Curt Warner Chev of Van.,WA. I now change the oil/filters. Took trip to Wisconsin this summer and got great mileage. Avg total trip was 30mpg. Never had problems other than normal battery replacements, radiator flush, fuel pump replaced. (in tank preventative.) Change oil every 3000 miles for sure. Keep good tires, brakes, and alignment. Great car.

I want a new car!!!! - 1998 Chevrolet Lumina
By luminassuck - September 20 - 4:19 pmI bought my lumina in October 2008 and I have already had an oil and radiator leak. The gas mileage is horrible, its a very loud car with no power and it seems every time I go and get my oil changed they tell me another thing wrong with it. The interior is falling apart and on a rainy day the interior fogs up horribly, even with defrost on. I hate my car.

Cylinder heads - 1995 Chevrolet Lumina
By GERRY - September 19 - 9:42 pmIn 7 years i had to change everything in the engine, including failure of the cylinder heads at 85,000 miles and at 156,000 miles. That second time (last Thursday), I scraped the car.
