The best sedan weve ever owned - 2005 Chevrolet Impala
By Dave - July 28 - 2:38 amIve always bought Japanese, but I found a great deal on a used Impala, so I took a chance. Im so glad I did. The car has had zero problems and it drives like a dream. The seats are very comfortable. My daughter says the rear seats are great, too. Trunk is huge. The best thing about the car is the phenomenal mileage: the Impala gets better mileage than our Subaru but its much more spacious. The engine has plenty of pep and a satisfying growl that makes it feel like a hot rod. Its really the perfect combination of size, performance and fuel economy. I would buy another one. Its really a great car.

Overall great car - 2005 Chevrolet Impala
By Wheelman - June 28 - 7:55 amIve owned for almost two years now and love to drive this car. Great looks, power, handling, and fuel for a full-sized car. And a big trunk. I was driving 128 miles a day to and from work, and now only 63. Its a nice ride. Ive had a few issues including turning the brake rotors and had the intermediate steering shaft replaced. The steering shaft was covered by warranty. I enjoy the comfortable ride and plenty of power to get around traffic. I bought this car because of the Consumer reports rates very well, great looks, and fuel mileage for a descent V6. I hope the newer style models rate well for my next purchase down the road.

2005 Impala LS - 2005 Chevrolet Impala
By ourlivesforhim - June 9 - 5:07 pmI have had this car for 22 months now. A great highway car. I drive 70 miles a day, and have a true average of 25.6 MPG. Some highway and some stop and go. Hard to beat that when you consider this is a full size car. I have had many Hondas in the past. This car is built just as well. Perfect, no, but darn close. The 3.8 is strong and solid. The brakes are excellent. Check the safety ratings! Top of the class. Go Chevy!

A great car - 2005 Chevrolet Impala
By john b - April 13 - 7:06 amIm very happy with my new Impala. I took the car on a round trip Boston- Indianapolis (2100 miles total) and averaged 27 mpg. Plenty of room and power, and the seats were extremely comfortable. I was looking for a large car with good gas mileage, a big trunk and good looks - and you cannot find a better value than the Impala. With employee pricing, the car was just about $ 18K.

Love my 2005 impala - 2005 Chevrolet Impala
By joe laRosa - November 29 - 2:50 pmThis car rides like dream, and mileage is outstanding at 24 city, 28 combined, 34 highway. The dash guage setup is great and easy to read. The stereo system is 200 watt with awesome sound. Interior room is also great. Leg room is more than ample, and i am 6ft.8in tall. The impala is an allround great car.

What a car! - 2005 Chevrolet Impala
By billjo4 - November 3 - 12:16 pmThis is one great automobile. Fit and finish is superb inside and out. The powertrain is very quiet and responsive. The interior is quiet, no squeaks or rattles. This is a "tall" car, you sit deep into the seats and it gives you a real sense of security and confidence, not to mention it corners like a cat. I am so impressed with this car, several friends have bought one on my suggestion and a test drive. A "best buy" in its class!

Glad I bought it! - 2005 Chevrolet Impala
By larry - September 21 - 9:48 amI had a Dodge Intrepid. Worst mistake ever! Got the Impala, and was happy from the moment I bought it. Much better quality overall. The gas mileage is very impressive for a large car. I tend to be a little heavy on the gas, and average 37 mpg on the road! Overall, I average 29 mpg. I would definitely buy another one. I hope the 3.4 is as good an engine!
