Overview & Reviews
The supercharged Impala SS joins the lineup for 2004. Besides offering 240 horsepower, the SS features a tightened suspension to allow it to take corners with a bit more gusto. Base and LS models have redesigned bench and bucket seats, and a sport appearance package is now available on the base sedan.
- Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
- Vague steering, soggy suspension on base and LS models, low-buck interior.

going to work is fun again - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By freewayracer - March 8 - 2:00 amoverall good solid car surprises alot of the "GO FAST CARS" in the twistys or the freeways .50k+miles caris still quite in side at all speeds comfortable drove from So.Cal to Tahoe 5hrs.still felt fresh on arrival. To date only routine maint.filters,oil,etc.and 1 set of tires my fault cant seem to slow down although the brakes are great with good feedback and modulation.Looking towards increasing the fun with an SS.

LOVE MY CAR - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By LEE ANN - March 8 - 2:00 amI LOVE THIS CAR. I HAD MY FIRST WRECK IN THIS CAR, NO ONE HURT. MY CAR DIDNT LOOK THAT BAD, BUT HER CAR WAS REALLY SMASHED. THAT LET ME KNOW HOW WELL BUILT MY CAR IS. I HAVE CHILDREN IN MY CAR EVERYDAY, AND IT HELPS TO KNOW THAT IT IS A SAFE CAR.

Superb Vehicle - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By KBJR - January 13 - 10:00 amI have been very pleased with my Impala purchase. The car is comfortable, has an extremely roomy interior, with leather and full complement of toys, its a peach.... I could have spent twice as much for a Volvo, but why on earth would I want to do that?! One thing that I do not like is the windshield wipers are too noisy. That definitely needs to be addressed. Other than that, great work Chevrolet! Thanks!

04 LS Impala - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By GTB82l - January 2 - 10:00 amJust bought one and loving it so far. Fast, smooth acceleration, great handling, luxury ride. Interior huge compared to my old Camry and our other car, a Maxima. Kids are in heaven. Trunk Tony Soprano would love. What other car can comfortably seat 6 adults AND all their stuff and get 32 MPG on the highway. This car is the value proposition.

Get One! - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By dano8710 - November 25 - 10:00 amThe Impala SS is a really sharp looking car for starters. Sure, its a 4 door sedan but, its not grandmas Impala. Start the engine and you can tell that theres fun going to happen. Nice exhaust tone....and fairly subdued until you punch it and watch the S/C boost gauge; smooth power and torque when you want it. Im glad that Chevy brought it back.....and you can get one with no options (standard features are plenty for me) for right around 22K, after all the rebates !

$30,000 Performance Family Sedan - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By ChEvRoLeTfAn - June 12 - 2:00 amAs soon as I turned over the keys to my 1998 Chevrolet Lumina Z-34 and got into the Impala and stepped on the gas, the difference was definately noticeble. The Lumina was quick and I used to be able to take the Civics and Eclipses right off the line but now, prior to experience,I have beat a 2000 BME 328i Sport sedan. I paid just over $30,000 and now that there is a special edition Indy 500 package i am probably going to trade it in.
