Overview & Reviews
The supercharged Impala SS joins the lineup for 2004. Besides offering 240 horsepower, the SS features a tightened suspension to allow it to take corners with a bit more gusto. Base and LS models have redesigned bench and bucket seats, and a sport appearance package is now available on the base sedan.
- Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
- Vague steering, soggy suspension on base and LS models, low-buck interior.

AWESOME VALUE - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By RockinJoe - November 13 - 11:37 amI love this car! I have owned a lot of cars, so its hard to say this is the best of them, but it is certainly among the best. It is good looking, tight handling, and I drive the base model. The Impala is a lot nicer than the Monte Carlo. It has better gas mileage, more interior and trunk room , rides better, and handles just as well. I was reluctant to buy an Imapla as there a million of them on the road, but now I understand why it is so popular. I think it beats most of the imports too. I also drove one with 110,000 miles on it, and it drove just like mine with 22,000 miles.

Best Replacement Choice - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Investigator - November 4 - 7:33 pmI purchased this 2004 Impala as a replacement for a 1999 Crown Victoria. And I could not be more pleased at my choice. I had done careful research, Mich. State Police tests on the Impale and the Consumer Reports results. Both were positive and have proven to be accurate. I recomend the Impala. But be sure to get the proven 3.8II engine. This engine give strong acceleration and higher gas milage.

I love my Chevy - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Happychevyowner - September 20 - 10:00 amIve owned a BMW 5 Series, (chronic electrical problems and the worst car I ever owned), 2 Mercedes, both very good cars and 15 Town Cars, 2 Cadillacs 2 Pontiacs and 3 Suburbans. My Impala LS is a fun car to drive, economical and reliable. I will definitely purchase another one. GM certainly makes a much better product than they did in the 70s and 80s.

Awesome - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Peppermint - September 1 - 10:00 amI like the get up and go of the engine. I drive a canyon everyday to work with a lot of curves and it handles really well. It is very comfortable and I dont hear outside noise like some cars I have had. Im just in love with it! Its a pleasure to get behind the wheel.
