Overview & Reviews
The Equinox is an all-new compact SUV from Chevrolet. It shares a platform with the Saturn Vue and offers similar levels of space and versatility for buyers seeking practical suburban transportation.
- Standard V6 engine, long wheelbase affords plenty of interior room, fore/aft-adjustable rear seats, available side curtain airbags.
- Costs as much as the more powerful Saturn Vue, limited drivetrain choices, confusing stereo controls.

I like it a lot - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Patti K - March 25 - 2:53 amThe real test was when I took it on the road for a 300 mile trip, both my husband and I did not feel tired like we usually do. Normally we stop every 100 miles to stretch, but we got a late start and drove straight through. No back pain and not stiff. This SUV has a great ride, more like a luxury car than an SUV. Ive had two 4- runners, a Previa, and a Windstar prior to this, and I really feel I made the right choice.

Great, Fun Vehicle - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Zoe911 - March 21 - 10:00 amFun to drive with plenty of power for me! Highway gas mileage is decent. In city mileage could be improved. Overall, an excellent choice for someone looking for a nice SUV with a sensible and affordable cost.

I Love This Vehicle - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By HRH - March 21 - 10:00 amI was driving a car that was too low and it started getting harder and harder to get out of the car. I test drove a Chrysler 300, Jeep, 4-Runner and Equinox. The Equinox has the most "solid" feel, both in the driving and the shut-the-door test; it is also the most comfortable of the group. I purchased an AWD with all the bells and whistles, including OnStar. Its a joy to drive. The only drawback is the miles per gallon. I went from a 30+ mpg to about 20 mpg.

Equinox fax - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Rick Gutierrez - March 21 - 10:00 amI just recently purchased this vehicle on October 3, 2004. I am very pleased with it but am concernec about the cup holders in the back being too flimsy. Also, something might be wrong with the steering wheel. OTher than that, I really enjoy driving it.

Nox - just fun to drive - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By EQ - March 21 - 10:00 amI was looking at Trailblazers but couldnt live with the 15mpg or less they get. The Equinox was a great compromise for an SUV yet 20+mpg. I found most of the vehicles out there look boring. I also was looking for something different, new and fun to drive. The Equinox fits all of these. It gets plenty of looks and people wanting to know what it is. Mine Nox is lazer blue in color which really turns heads.

LT AWD - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By mm46410 - March 21 - 10:00 amIm very impressed with the awd performance. When excellerating from a stop you can feel the energy from all the wheels instead of just the tork from the back wheels. Also the very roomy atmosphere within the cabin is a plus.

One Year Evaluation - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Jolene - March 12 - 5:33 amThis is the first American vehicle I ever purchased. I am extremely pleased with the performance, design, color, and comfort. There is also plenty of room for 5 to fit comfortably. Its a sharp looking SUV. Thanks Chevrolet, you will always have me as a loyal customer.

I love this vehicle! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By ninabeans - March 6 - 8:16 pmVery nice to drive. Gas mileage is a little dissapointing, but could be a lot worse. Lots of cargo room, with a shelf in trunk that is rubber on one side (for tailgating parties, grocery, etc) and shelf can be propped up to hang groceries and create more cargo space.
