Overview & Reviews
The Equinox is an all-new compact SUV from Chevrolet. It shares a platform with the Saturn Vue and offers similar levels of space and versatility for buyers seeking practical suburban transportation.
- Standard V6 engine, long wheelbase affords plenty of interior room, fore/aft-adjustable rear seats, available side curtain airbags.
- Costs as much as the more powerful Saturn Vue, limited drivetrain choices, confusing stereo controls.

NIce looking vehicle for the price - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By stacey - October 18 - 3:23 amWe bought this vehicle after doing some considerable shopping. We have always had good luck with GM products so we decided to give this a test dive. I love the exterior design, it looks like it would be a more expensive vehicle then what it is.

Crossover heaven on a budget - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By peter Harris - October 10 - 9:43 pmI am so happy I found the Chevy Equinox in my search. Great styling both inside and out! But I really love the XM satellite radio, The MP3 Player and the hands-free phone features. I get great gas mileage so far, and the machine is tight and high quality. Plus I am kind of psyched to have bought an American company product.

Fun to Drive ! Great to look at! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Amy - September 25 - 7:43 amGreat car. Easy to handle, nice looking exterior cool features. Only thing I dont like is the plastic on the rear and front bumpers, easy to scratch, must be careful parallel parking, leave a lot of room between cars. Otherwise a great choice. Much better looking and easier to handle than other SUVs in its class.

Best SUV Ive ever owned - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By jerahgd - September 21 - 6:33 pmThe head room is awesome. The sliding back seat was a feature I never thought would be an issue, but its been handy. I absolutly love the electric steering. The seat is high enough that I dont have to climb up to get out and not so high that my kids cant climb in without assistance. The 5 star crash test rating is an added bonus. It has so much room in the back to pack all my necessities, as well as having the oomph to get going, even with the air conditioning on full blast. Its been an all around joy to own and drive.

so far, so good - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By JakeNM - September 19 - 10:00 amI just purchased this vehicle a few weeks ago, but so far I am very impressed. I looked at the Saturn VUE and a few bigger SUVs. I couldnt decide what I wanted. Then I looked at the Equinox LT FWD and decided that was it! Its not as powerful as the VUE, but I like the steering and ride better. The sliding rear seat is really handy as well. The styling beats all small and medium SUVs IMO.

the "EEK " or the "Nox" - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Franke767 - September 13 - 10:00 amHad it for 6 weeks now and still very much impressed. Very smooth ride, and handling is quite good. I love the view out of the large windshield, sitting up higher than other cars. Reviews say the steering is too easy, I think the steering feel is perfect. For the money, you cant beat it!!!!!!!!!

Matt - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Matt - September 11 - 4:20 pmThis is an excellent vehicle. It gets pretty good mileage in town and is ver comfortable. I have to rent vehicles for work often. I have driven CRVs, Escapes and Jeeps. I always love to get back into my Equinox. It is much better than all of the rest.

Love The "Nox" - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Dave D - September 11 - 1:33 pmFun vehicle to drive, great in the snow. We got one with all of the goodies. Havent had any problems at all with it. Its not a powerhouse but its power is more than sufficient (I wouldnt tow my 7000# camper with it, but thats not why I bought it, I have a Tahoe for that). The seats in the back are a little stiff but comfortable. I highly recommend this vehicle (so far....well see what happens in a few years...).

We Love It! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Ed Johnston - September 4 - 6:00 pmWe just took a weekend trip of over 600 miles. Our Equinox performed fantastically. The ride was smooth and quite. The new electronic steering is great on curves. The small gas tank will take some getting used too.

Consumer Rating - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By April McClain - September 2 - 7:03 amThe Chevy Equinox is a comfortable, well-handling SUV. It handles bumps more smoothly than the Ford Escape, which I previously owned. There are a couple of downfalls however, the light interior seats show liquid stains very easily and there are many blind spots throughout the vehicle.
