Overview & Reviews
The Equinox is an all-new compact SUV from Chevrolet. It shares a platform with the Saturn Vue and offers similar levels of space and versatility for buyers seeking practical suburban transportation.
- Standard V6 engine, long wheelbase affords plenty of interior room, fore/aft-adjustable rear seats, available side curtain airbags.
- Costs as much as the more powerful Saturn Vue, limited drivetrain choices, confusing stereo controls.

Equinox - spirit style and spunk. - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Delbert A. Whststone - April 2 - 1:56 pmThe car is very responsive and a delight to drive. Im quite tall and have above average sitting height, but the Equinox offers plenty of room. We have experienced some inclement weather snow ice and wet roads, but the AWD seems to give you good traction. I like its futuristic styling; it tells you right away that its all new and ready for the road.

Absolutely Great Vehicle for 4 years now - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Mikey - April 2 - 9:41 amI am still amazed when I see any negative comments about this car. It has been an outstanding vehicle for me. I wonder how the Lexus owners that spent double feel when people were staring at the great looks of my car!!! 4 years now and no problems. (A gas cap and some tires) It is as fun to drive as the Mercedes 300E I once owned. The back seat leg room is my favorite feature. My 6ft tall kids love it. Very roomy, great ride and handling and has been reliable. I dont think I could have bought better.

Love this vehicle - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Mike Bojko - April 2 - 2:00 amThe quality and comfort and convience of the vehicle is supurb. I really like the vehicle and it holds a lot more "stuff" than one would think when the back seat is folded down. I traveled to Florida recently - got 6 large dining room chairs, paint, large mirror and my personal items for my trip and had more room - just didnt have anything else to take. I was impressed. I only had 1600 miles on the vehilce when I began my trip to Florida - firt time on the highway and only got 21.6 miles to the gallon. I hope that it will improve in time. However the standard V6 has pleanty of pick up and performance. A friend of mine has the Ford Escape...my vehicle is far superior in quality, ride and quiet.

EQUINOX LT REVIEW - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Mary Lange - March 31 - 10:00 amWe just purchased this vehicle less than a week ago, but so far we love it. The pick-up and go is great. It handles turns good. For the money it seems well worth it. We have gone from a 2 car family to 1. Decided to upgrade to a 6 cyl. from our 2 4cyl. cars. with the intention of pulling a small pop-up camper. SO FAR SO GOOD, WE ARE VERY PLEASED.

equinox best buy for your bucks - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By littlebig - February 22 - 10:00 amThe Equinox is a very smooth riding suv. It has plenty of room and it is very comfortable ride. Driving around obsticales in the road is great as it responds quickly and hold the road well. We wanted a suv like this so that my wife and dogs can drive around the country comfortably. We recently completed a trip between NY and Las Vegas and it was great. Check it out.

No other vehicle will do it for me - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Rox - January 13 - 11:35 amHad the vehicle 5 months now. It is very comfortable. Love the heated seats and sunroof. The vehicle handles better than any other vehicle Ive had in the winter. I see people slipping and sliding all over the road in newer vehicles and my Nox is sturdy and safe. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who has a family and who lives in wintry conditions. I dont find the vehicle to be a gas oink and it doesnt cost that much to fill the tank. The vehicle handles well on the highway and even better in snowy conditions. Most people who see it comment on what a smart SUV it is and where did I get it. Thanks Chevy for the best vehicle weve ever owned!

Flexibility Par Excellence! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By USN - January 5 - 10:00 amWe have owned our Equinox for 40 days, and approximately 1,000 miles. It is by far the vehicle with the most flexible interior that I have ever owned, (35 in all- Im not a 30 something guy!) The seating is very comfortable, and with the combination of the front buckets, and the large rear seat with back tilt and fore/aft adjustment, you can configure the vehicle for anything. The rear leg room for example is greater than a Ford Expedition. It has a longer wheelbase than almost all midsized SUVs, with 9 inches of ground clearance. The numerous storage configurations are remarkable, a tailgaters dream!
