Overview & Reviews
The Equinox is an all-new compact SUV from Chevrolet. It shares a platform with the Saturn Vue and offers similar levels of space and versatility for buyers seeking practical suburban transportation.
- Standard V6 engine, long wheelbase affords plenty of interior room, fore/aft-adjustable rear seats, available side curtain airbags.
- Costs as much as the more powerful Saturn Vue, limited drivetrain choices, confusing stereo controls.

2005 "Nox" Review - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By toeknee1970 - September 11 - 11:46 pmUnfortunately, I bought this vehicle on looks alone, my first mistake. The price was right, but I guess I got what I paid for. Although it has more pep than my 2004 GMC Envoy, it doesnt even compare with overall quality.

My first SUV - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Tim - August 28 - 9:30 pmI am a sports car or "Euro-sedan" kind of guy. But, sooner or later youve got to pick up a bag of peat moss. I cant think of a better car to do it in than the Equinox. Few SUVs are exciting cars to drive, and this one is no exception. The ride is biased towards luxury - the long wheelbase really helps. The engine moves it along with little fuss and the 5-speed automatic always seems to find the right gear, making it feel stronger than it really is. The available luxury features, (sunroof, XM radio, etc.) make my commute a pleasant one. No squeaks, no rattles, no problems.

Surprising! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Steeveebee - August 11 - 12:03 pmThis is like no other Chevy SUV that Ive seen. I guess theyve realized that people do care about their cars being stylish. Ive had groups of 5 on several occastions for short journeys and everyone compliments the comfort, room and ride. The engine is quite responsive considering its horsepower rating. The versatility of the interior features is impressive. Focusing more on the center console for window buttons and gear information will take some getting used too.

2005 Equinox LT AWD - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Carl Cleveland - July 16 - 1:26 pmI had a 2004 Chevy Impala LS and I loved it. The only thing is I had three back surgeries and am now disabled and needed something easier to get in and out of. The Equinox was the vehicle for me. Excellent ride and comfort. Love the heated seat option, like a heating pad for my back. The Equinox is a excellent SUV.
