Overview & Reviews
The Equinox is an all-new compact SUV from Chevrolet. It shares a platform with the Saturn Vue and offers similar levels of space and versatility for buyers seeking practical suburban transportation.
- Standard V6 engine, long wheelbase affords plenty of interior room, fore/aft-adjustable rear seats, available side curtain airbags.
- Costs as much as the more powerful Saturn Vue, limited drivetrain choices, confusing stereo controls.

Selling like hot cakes! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By M2312S - April 16 - 10:00 amWent to buy an Avalanche last week and ended up buying two new Chevrolets. While at the dealer my wife spotted the Equinox. Three days later we went back and bought a black FWD LT. Had test driven the Nissan Murano, Lexus and BMW MDX, none had comparable leg room to the Equinox. LT units are preselling in our market and are very difficult to find. EXTREMELY good value for the money, nothing even comes close.

Good Buy - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Andymanga - April 10 - 10:00 amI bought my nox a week ago and am loving it. It rides good and looks good. The V-6 seems peppier than the same engine when it was in my camaro (of course it did have 200k miles on it...) and a SUV that gets mid 20s mpg is a plus.

I KNOW THE QUALITY ALREADY.

Hunk of Junk - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Robyn - March 27 - 10:26 pmI have had this vehicle for 2.5 yrs now, and Ive had to have brand new rotors and break pads; along with brand new tires, visor, and stereo. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone. There is also a problem where the starter cranks after the key is released, and Chevrolet, in their service bulletin (#03-06-03-001D) states this is "normal." There are a ton of blind spots with this vehicle also. You couldnt pay me enough money to ever get a Chevrolet again.

The best deal for your money! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Johnny Bee - March 21 - 5:56 pmI have only had the vehicle for 3 complete days now and I have not had any complaints with this SUV. The Nox is the best vehicle for the money when compared to the other SUVs from other manufacturers. To better experience the Equinox, get all available features.

Bitter-Sweet - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By deeman7777 - March 16 - 6:10 amThis car is very nice from the exterior! GM did a great job designing this SUV. I am sorely dissapointed however with the car them longer I own it. So far its been in the shop 4 times. Faults from warped front discs (brakes) to a bad rear diff. to an electrical problem to a bad sensor in the engine. I have come to HATE the interior. Granted this is the LS version and only a measly $20,000, but how about a map light...or any light near the RV mirror!!! WTF was GM thinking. The ONLY interior light (beside the light in the trunk) is on the ceiling between the front and back seat. You are out of luck if you need to read a map in the dark. Also no hanger hooks for dry cleaning. Wake up GM!

Be careful with this car! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Barry - March 12 - 4:20 amI bought this car after test driving and reading online the glowing reports of this vehicle. Never in over my 36 years of driving have I been so disappointed in a car. I have had it to the shop for: Key stuck in the ignition, seat heaters not working, starter not functioning ( at least 6 times) Brakes making noises ( at least 12 times) re-progamming the CD player, transmission....need I go on. I write this as my car is now in the shop for the 3rd time in 3 weeks! Stay away from this car..very disappointed
