By NOXY - February 14 - 10:00 amOverall nice vehicle. Surprised ride much better than previous sedan. Well behaved at highway speeds 80-85mph. One month of driving have 3800 miles. Downside vehicle delivered with 2 problems. washer reservoir leaking. Turn signal lane change feature eratic.

By Darlene - January 22 - 6:10 amI have only had this SUV for 7 mos and alredy I have fixed/replaced 3 things on this truck. They are: the sensor that controls the dash indicators, the radio, and the bowtie on the tailgate. However, this is a good truck.

Took it for a test drive the next week and fell in love. Ordered one 03-20-04, the Spring Equinox and now just waiting its arrival. Will be back here to post after owning it for a while. Couldnt fairly judge performance or fun to drive categories fairly yet so went middle of the road with a 5.

By Pesky Eskie - January 8 - 10:00 amPicked my Equinox up yesterday (7/13/04)...Fell in love with it when I first laid eyes on it.When I test drove it I couldnt believe the steering responsiveness and the ride smoothness.Havent had it long but so far I just love it.Time will tell about the reliability aspect but my initial feeling is that it is a well designed vehicle at a great value!

By Star - November 29 - 6:10 amI have to admit, I traded in my Z28 for the Equinox so, I might be a little biased on the performance. Anyway, they compare as far as gas mileage is concerned. They both stink...other than that, the Equinox is a good vehicle.

By salvato - November 26 - 3:46 pmi do not find any of faults listed by consumer reports in this vehicle,such as poor fit items and poor quality plastics. (big deal). cup holders are only disappointment so far., we are enjoying it so far except the gas mileage is a little suspect right now.

By Walt - November 25 - 12:43 pmI like the vehicle overall, it is fun to drive, looks good and the quality of construction is very good. The vehicle is a good size and has plenty of power. It rides well for an SUV and the AWD works excellent in snow. Head and leg room are good and the engine and transmission provide a nice smooth acceleration and power band.

Pros and Cons - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Heather - November 16 - 12:30 pmI love my car but there are a few issues I have. First of all, the CD player is a mess. I have already had one replaced and another replacement is on the way. The CDs get stuck in the player and will not come out. Second, light interior. I have had a light interior in cars before but never as easily stained as my Equinox i.e., my hair was wet when I got in the car and it made a water stain on the head rest that will not go away. Lastly, at times I have noticed the car will make knocking noises or jerk when I turn corners. The adjustable back seat is great! I can make extra room for the kids on long trips or make extra space in the back when I go shopping. Overall, great car!

The Equinox is roomy, quiet, and peppy enough, gets good mileage and is comfortable for four big adults. It misses grab handles, lighted vanity mirrors, built in garage remote control, under hood light and opening rear window. It is a good buy and a winner among many similar competitors.
