2001 Torch Red Z06 - 2001 Chevrolet Corvette
By Bhansen - March 27 - 2:00 amI broke this car in with extreme care. In my 10 months of ownership I have never spun the tires or exceeded the speed limit by more than 5 mph, never-theless I have never owned a more enjoyable outright fun automobile. My last tank I went 333 miles and averaged 32.43 mpg. Its an economy car with 385 hp! This car is easily worth the 50 grand I paid! I feel ten years younger and my business trips are a pleasure!

Major Engine Defect in 2001 Corvettes - 2001 Chevrolet Corvette
By Charles Patrick - March 18 - 5:26 pmAll 2001 Corvettes were manufactured with defective piston rings that cause the engines to use excessive amounts of oil-1 quart per 1,000 miles or less in most cases. Avoid purchase of these vehicles.

Will buy again...soon! - 2001 Chevrolet Corvette
By RedRider - March 14 - 12:18 amThe only issue that Ive had with my 01 Coupe was the lighter socket came loose due to my cell phone plug-in. Mechanically, the machine is bulletproof. Body integrity is 100%. Dependability is 100%. The ride, feel and stability is absolutely fantastic. Get this...my gas mileage on the auto trans will go into the 28s on the highway during trips!! Im selling mine to buy a 2002. Was never impressed by Vettes until I bought this one. What a machine!

the most beautiful domestic sports car - 2001 Chevrolet Corvette
By mgaskins - March 12 - 3:10 pmAfter 20 years of loving Corvettes, I finally bought mine. The Z06 is incredibly fast. 385 hp really guns you down the road. Punching it when shifting into 3rd guarantees a quick zoom as fast as you can comfortably go on most public roads! The hardtop gives ample storage space behind the seats. I easily packed my full-size suitcase in the trunk for a trip this week. Good luck on your purchase of the best value in high-end sports cars!

Great Bang For The Buck - 2001 Chevrolet Corvette
By dakota - March 1 - 3:05 pm2001 Black Conv. 6 speed with Z51, 1SC, QF5, and U1S options. Pros: Great handling, acceleration and basic fun. Cons: Car burns oil at the rate of 1qt per every 2000 miles (dealer monitoring in place). Some cheap interior bits. Overall: Eye-turning, fun-to-drive excitment for a bargin basment price when compared to the competition.
