Overview & Reviews
Indigo Blue is added to the exterior palette. A CD player is made standard on the LS Sedan and Z24 Coupe. The Z24 Convertible has vanished from the lineup.
- Affordably priced, roomy enough for a family of four, Z24 is a stylish and speedy low-buck sport coupe.
- You get what you pay for in terms of comfort and convenience, Z24 Convertible no longer available, poor build quality.

Ms. Fed Up - 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier
By Honda Luver 4 life - September 19 - 2:00 amI do not have a happy report about this model. back to the dealer a total of fifteen (15) times, Ive had my driver door serviced for loud noises, ignition switch & lock replaced,AC serviced twice, battery replaced for leaking acid, check ingine light stayed on for days,my theft deterent system had to be reprogrammed, the coil had to be replaced, going 70mph on the highway the car just shut off on me (and this happened twice), fuel pump had to be replaced, cd had to be replaced. I never know when Im gonna stall on the highway driving this vehicle.

2001 chevy cavalier - 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier
By gross - July 16 - 2:32 ambought the car for my daughter whos in college. had 92k miles when purchased. her school is a 3 hr drive away. car has been very good for months and then problems with radio. radio was killing the battery even after the car was turned off. After a new battery, altenator, and starter, it took months before a vehicle electrician found the problem. 2 dealerships couldnt even find the problem. cars is running great but no radio but my daughter doesnt mind, says she can listen to music on her phone. lol She loves the car and it seems to be a very good car.

Favorite of Mine - 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier
By Alwyschevy - April 5 - 2:00 amThis is my 3rd cavalier and 2nd Z24. I love the cars. Not as much as the old 3.1 V6, but this little car is fantastic. I love the spacier inside, the sound system is great, and I love the 5 speed version. Id buy this car again.

2001 Z24 - Its still just a Cavelier - 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier
By eng21 - February 17 - 2:00 amThis car is fun to drive...when Im not bothered by all of the rattles and other noises inside the cabin. I can hear about 3 different noises at once sometimes. Im very dissatisfied with the build quality of this car. It looks decent, performes decently, but sounds like its falling apart already, and its only about 2 years old. Transmission was replaced at 17,000k due to rattling noise in lower gear. I still hear a different noise when shifting at lower RPM (i.e. < 2700 RPM). I should have bought the Civic. Hind sight is 20/20

Solid car, good performance. - 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier
By DVW67 - January 16 - 2:00 amThis is our second Cavalier. Our first was a 97 LS with the 2.2L engine and 4sp auto. I opted this time for the 2.4L engine despite having a good experience with the 2.2L. The 2.4L mated to the 4sp auto is a better performer when getting onto the highway from the on-ramps. The noise level is about the same between both versions. As of this writing, we have 56,800 miles on our 2001 LS (yes, we drive ALOT) and it has performed flawlessly. If asked if I would buy another, I would answer yes if we were considering another compact sedan.
