My Camaro has been my most entertaining car to date. Id like to address some of the complaints that people typically have about this car: 1) Ride quality: Its solid rear axle isnt going to provide a silky smooth ride, but it isnt bone-jarring either. 2) Build quality: as with all cars: if you beat it, it will break. The F-body has amazing mod potential, and people tend to go overboard with mods, and then complain about their cars breaking. 3) Noise: If you dont appreciate the throaty purr of a V8 at idle, or the wild roar at WOT, then you werent meant for this car.

I have 105,000 miles on this car and it runs/drives like new. Still gets 23mpg and I do not drive it easy! Cant find more bang for the buck performancewise anywhere. Mustang drivers still look at these with respect 5yrs after theyre no longer made. Its has a cheap, plasticky, rattly interior, but if that starts to bug you just punch the gas and youll remember why you tolerate this thing.

There has got to be something good here. They were used for police cars. They are headturners. Havent had it in any weather yet, so Im waiting to see. Cant believe when they end a tradition they make a plain base car. But it handles nice, ride is pretty good for sport, gas mileage isnt bad. It is a bit wide to see with the mirrors.

I have had this car for a a little over a month, but what a great car. I only have the V-6 with the five speed. It is a very agile car that is very fun to fly through the gears. Drifting the car / burnouts very easy. The car is built solid and doesnt seem to have any problems. The seats even though they are cloth are more comfortable than my sisters Mustangs that are leather. Over all it is a sporty fun car that is a great starter car or even a easy driver.

  • Great Car but should have bought Vette - 2002 Chevrolet Camaro

Fun to drive. Have six speed Z28 with all the options. Not built well and mileage averages 13, way below EPA. Got it with big discount at end of build out. Great weekend car with tight feel. Stay away from snow and rain as traction poor. Brake rotors warp easily and front window distorts view in areas, Black plastic interior pieces fall off. In other words a piece of GM junk thats really fun to drive. Trade value about half of purchase price after three years. Hard to get in and out of. Its ok as during the week drive the Buick LeSabre.

I special ordered this car last spring after thinking about it for two years. I ordered all the options except for the T-tops and traction control. I got the Y87 Performance/Handling package. Everything is great about this car except the V6 engine. What a letdown. Two weeks ago I went back to the dealer and special ordered a Z/28 with almost all the same options. I ordered it with the 3.23 axle. I would not have bought another Camaro if it wasnt a great car.

This car is an absolute blast to drive. People dont believe it runs 13.3 sec 1/4 mi stock. There still isnt a car available with this kind of power for less than $30K. It isnt for the faint of heart. The stock brake rotors warp every 10K miles. The build quality was low and it showed in several trips to the dealership to replace cracked/warped interior pieces. The glass and paint are soft and chip easily. The unibody flexes causing several rattles and squeaks. The right catalytic converter sits just in front of the passenger seat making it quite uncomfortable for some riders. Take a test ride as well as a drive. It has never failed to get me where Im going however.

Very fast. Very affordable. Best performance value out there. Never had anything but scheduled maintenance. Yes, it has the stereotypical rattles. Handling and acceleration are extremely important to me. It will beat almost anything on the road. It certainly beats anything under 30 thousand. I use it as a daily driver and a winter car too. With traction control and snow tires, it is great in the winter. I absolutely love it. it is far, far, far, better than previous generation camaros!

  • love of a legend - 2002 Chevrolet Camaro

Great performance of a 60s muscle cars like the 427 camaros of old, with double the fuel economy, three times the amount of handling and features. Best of all the Ls1 V8 aluminum block with alot of performance availability, what a push rod legend. These cars can really lay down the low end power. Ad a good exhaust and air intake and 400 hp is not too far off for under half the price of expensive imports or the vette. Great driving on back roads and drag strip launches on high way on ramps what a blast to drive..

I like the car but the engine started to knock at 15,000 miles. GM says this is normal for this engine. It is very annoying & gets worse the longer the car is driven.
