This Year's Model Updates:

Few changes are made to the Camaro in what is its final year of production. Minor additions include a special 35th anniversary package and Sebring Silver to the color palette.

Pros:
  • Fun (Base), fast (Z28), furious (SS).
Cons:
  • Chrysler Concorde front styling, cheapo interior materials, boy-racer image.

  • Best Fun Car Value - 2002 Chevrolet Camaro

Own a 2002 Z28. This is my 3rd Camaro, first Z28. My previous one was basically totaled after being hit in the drivers door by a drunk driver, I walked away. My Camaros have been unbelieveably reliable for the amount of mileage I drive, are extremely fun, and have a lot of features than many high-end cars dont even have, all for a great value.

Cant beleive they dont sell more of these cars. The thing is dam fast with 345hp option. What stock car on the street is faster? Ok, for under 50K, NONE!!!!

Love it Big improvement over 2nd & 3rd gen. cars, Fun to drive. Great to cruise w/t-tops off. Runs in mid 13 second 1/4 ml. in stock form. great for a car that starts under 25 grand. To bad they stoped making them.

I special ordered my 2002 Z28 M6 with the Hurst SShifter, and never looked back. What an automobile. Ponys cant beat my acceleration. Ponys cant outmanuver my curves. Ponys cant match my topspeed. Any questions?

the camaro is a sports car for people looking for affordable power only a few steps and a few dollars away from a truly high performance vehicle, which can even be a daily driver

This is my second camaro and I am very glad to have purchased the final year 35th Anniversary edition. The car rides real nice and I enjoy every drive I take. If you can find one, I would recommend picking it up!

  • Love that Z - 2002 Chevrolet Camaro

I love driving this car. It handles well, brakes well, and definitely knows how to get out of the way when necessary. In fact, all the cars that I leave at the line look surprised when they catch up and find a female driving. The 6-speed manual transmission is a nice "upgrade" from the 5. My only issue with it is the annoying skip- shift "feature" that dumps you into 4th from 1st if your RPMs arent high enough. Yuck. Also, GM should have put larger rotors on this car because the ones that come stock warp in no time. But thats okay, the dealership gets to pay for mine for 100K miles. :) I love my Z. Shes a lot of fun.

  • wow, what can I say. - 2002 Chevrolet Camaro

I had 2 Mustang GTs before this 02 Z28 and the Camaro blows them away in every way. I am like a kid with a new toy, the car is fast and fun and price was excellent. The seats leather is great quality and superior to my 00 Monte Carlo SS or the previous Mustangs I owned. I may have to keep this car forever. The Monsoon sound system is great and the T tops are a great addition for the summer. And for the fully loaded Z28 with every option but traction control, 19,000 was a steal (had 2,000 miles on it).
