Chevy's pint-sized Aveo gets a few changes for 2006. Safety is improved thanks to standard side airbags, new dual-stage front airbags and longer-length rear seatbelts. Other updates include new options like alloy wheels and cruise control, a retuned suspension for better steering response, and tilt-adjustable front headrests. The Aveo's engine has also been tweaked to meet the ULEV-II emissions standard this year.

By Jane & Jerry - September 7 - 8:53 pmWe got an AVEO LT loaded with all the options including the sun roof. It is fun to drive, seems incredibly roomy inside, even the back seat. There is plenty of trunk room even with the back seat not folded. Never though we could get so much for the money!

Getting in is very comfortable, like a little jeep--easy because higher up--just sliding in, and actually is higher up, a great feature when riding through a partially flooded street! My baby Aveo is my buddy !

By Jessica - December 8 - 3:23 pmI currently own a Chevy Aveo. The gas usage is excellent. Not to mention the incredible steering. Looks are deceiving, the Chevy Aveo looks small from the outside but on the inside its everything but. The interior is huge, spacious and best of all,comfy.

There is so much room in mine. I forget that Im in a small car. In other words, she looks good, she runs good, and shes great on gas. I love my Aveo, and her name is Beulah.

By J. Schulz - October 27 - 1:43 pmThe AVEO is not advertised as competition for the Mercedes or even the Toyota Camry, but what is advertised for the AVEO is true. I get 35 mpg on the road even when I am doing 75 mph. The engine/transmission package gives me lots of "pep" getting on the freeway and the car has lots of room inside (and its cute). I got all the options (including sunroof) and it was still a bargain. I have had the AVEO since June 2004 and have logged over 11,000 miles with no problems and lots of fun.
