Overview & Reviews
The 1999 Cadillac Escalade is really more a GMC Yukon Denali than it is a Cadillac. (And GMC's Yukon Denali is really more Yukon than anything else -- except, perhaps, a Chevrolet Tahoe, but that's another story). Regardless of its origins, think of the Escalade as a big four-wheel-drive Cadillac limo for well-heeled outdoorsy types. Loaded with luxury touches and every possible convenience (even GM's OnStar mobile communications system), Escalade comes in four special colors and lacks only one thing: an options list. Why? It's got it all.
- Curb appeal, powerful V8 performance, fancy gadgetry and features.

Escalade Problems - 1999 Cadillac Escalade
By MsAssrtiv - July 12 - 2:00 amTwo months after purchasing, a clunking noise started in the front end. After tearing the drivetrain apart twice, and replacing both U joints, both dealerships have given up. Dashboard was not assembled correctly resulting in large gap towards passenger side. Rear window rattles incessantly despite being repaired twice. If this is indicative of Cadillac quality, next time, Ill buy the new Suburban and live with those GM problems for $10K less!

Not Happy with this Car - 1999 Cadillac Escalade
By ironhorse - August 7 - 2:00 amCar has basically new tires on it. I have spent the last 3 Fridays either at the dealership or tire shop trying to figure out why the car wobbles at 65-72 mph and 30 mpn. They are going to try another set. The windows creak still and the rear end still shudders on take off.Its an ok SUV but I am ready to trade it back in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
