  • Nice Ride - 1995 Cadillac Eldorado

I own the 1995 model and it has been running great. Because of old age, however, I had to replace radiator due to cracking on the plastic pieces. As this car gets older, I am sure I will have to replace some other plastic dry rotted parts. But other than the shocks and struts, road sensing suspension going bad, it has been a great car. Even if it gets 18 to 19 MPG. If you do replace parts, and you are going to keep the car till its eventual total failure, just make sure you buy quality automotive parts--dont go cheap.

I bought this car from a private owner (2nd) he used it it travel from SC to IL once or twice a year. I used it the same way, from SC to NY a few times a year. It gets 27 mpg for me. It has lots of power, is fun to drive, and handles great.

I bought my car off of eBay for a great price. I slapped some 19 inch staggered rims on it and that was all I needed to do to it. I have owned 3 Mercedes, 2 Fords, and currently I also own a 2003 GMC Denali. I prefer driving my used Cadillac any day over my $50,000 truck. This car screams elegance. Its shape is timeless. Maybe just the headlights could use some updating.

My 01 Eldorado ETC has been a dream. It is absolutely perfect in every way. I have had ZERO maintenance or reliability issues with it. It only needs oil and gas. Its smooth, quiet, comfortable, fast, safe, and a joy to drive. The Eldorado is the pinnacle of the 2-door luxury sport coupes as far as Im concerned. The interior is comfortable, quiet, roomy (for its style), and well built. The engine is a marvel of technology and delivers amazing power and yet very good gas mileage.

  • Nine Years and Counting - 1997 Cadillac Eldorado

I bought this car new with only seven miles on it. Today it has 176,000 miles. I have replaced the AC compressor twice, one power steering pump, two alternators, and the head gaskets. The blown head gasket was my fault for trying to drive to next exit ignoring the warning system a radiator hose had burst. The piston rings were replaced and the heads rebuilt when the dealer replaced the head gasket. It cost $4,000 to repair and the car had 116,000 miles. All in all the car has been reliable. The car doesnt smoke, but does drink a quart of oil every two weeks. If Cadillac came out with a design I liked, I would probably buy another. The Northstar engine is a marvel.

I love everything about this car except for its reliability. Mine died with only 1,400 miles on it and needed a tow off the interstate. I should have known then. Over its life, it has had four dead batteries, over $2,000 so far in electrical repairs, and latest is over 7 days in the shop with 24 indicators in the computer. The GM tech center is taking bets on what the problem is. Many parts have been replaced, so far including the computer itself. This is the last Cadillac I will ever own (first one was an 84, remember those engines that blew up?). I have never owned a "foreign" car, but this one has done it. For the first time in 50 years, I am considering a nice Japanese vehicle.

  • Owned two Eldorados, Imagine that!! - 1997 Cadillac Eldorado

I owned an ETC, after replacing the trany for 2500 dollars, and it leaked so bad I had to finally trade it in.The strange thing was it was crimson red and it was as fast as a rocket, like riding in a living room with rocket power. I lost money on that one and bought another crimson red Eldo today. Three years later, I missed it so bad. I hope this one doesnt leak like the last one but if it does, I guess oil is cheap. Drive safely.

I bought this car used, fully optioned, with a cabriolet roof and chrome on the top of the front and left fenders. It is Crimson Pearl with a tan interior and added extra Zebranno wood. It looks very distictive. My family are snow birds, it is what you need when going from Canada to Florida each year. In the three years of owning this car the brakes and battery are all I needed to replace. I had lent it to my 83 year old mom. I havent seen her or my car for awhile.

  • Love My Car! - 1993 Cadillac Eldorado

Ive owned and loved this 1993 Eldorado since it was new. Its difficult to let it go! The quality of the leather, paint, etc. is remarkable. It has no rust and no tears. This car isnt nickel-&-diming me to death! It runs great under all conditions with great V8 pick-up and with astonishingly economical gas and service, when needed. This is a solid car for your loved ones...Ive always felt "safe" in this sporty but full size wheel-base auto. Find the right one for you and you will have many years of reliabible luxury transport!

  • My Last Eldorado - 2002 Cadillac Eldorado

Ive driven three previous Cadillac Eldorados, plus Sevilles. You just cant beat their performance, looks, and just the plain feeling of excellence when youre driving down the street. Theres still magic in the name "Cadillac," and I love it. I once had a vanity plate that said "Just coz." When people ask why I drive a Caddy I like to say, "Just coz." Cause I can afford to, I guess.
