  • what a rush - 1994 Cadillac Eldorado

I could not believe the power that the northstar has. wanted one in 1994 but list was 63000.00. patiently waited and picked one up for 1800.00 in 2009. Could only imagine how the ride was when new.

  • A beautiful, troublesome woman - 1999 Cadillac Eldorado
    By -

I always loved the design of the 1992- 2002 Caddy Eldorado, so I bought a clean 99. It ran well for about two years, and then the problems began. Interior things fell apart. The AC stopped working. The battery went low until it was dead - though it was only a few months old. The drivers seat self-adjusted randomly, even when the car was parked. When I started the car, the trunk and gas door popped open. Mechanics were baffled, and theorized a short in the electric system. The repair job was estimated at hundreds of dollars. Friends with Hondas, Nissans, and Toyotas say that their cars run for many years with no problems.

  • I got a lemon - 1999 Cadillac Eldorado

Though most reviews for the Eldo are excellent, mines been a nightmare from day one. a month after I bought it the head gasket blew and it was cheaper to replace the engine than the gaskets. Every month its a new problem. window motor, climate control motor, door panel fell off, trunk latch broke, ect.ect. I cant wait to get rid of. Im done with American cars now.

  • Great Value and Performance - 1996 Cadillac Eldorado

My previous car, the Seville SLS, was a nice car, essentially trouble-free for 4 years, so I felt confident going with another Cadillac with the Northstar engine. Its styling is beautiful, the performance and handling are solid. On hard acceleration I get thrown back in the seat! The fuel economy was amazing (18/27) for a "heavy" car with a V8 engine then I put nitrogen in the tires and experienced a 12% increase! I hope to keep this car forever, since they dont build them anymore! What a shame! This car has all the options, Bose sound and a 12-disc changer, glass moonroof, the works! I love the color, a metallic maroon, I think they call it Crimson Pearl, its gorgeous!

  • awesome car - 1994 Cadillac Eldorado

I purchase a 1994 eldorado from a auction in jan. 2009, in the 3 months since I have had no problems at all with this car. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and out, black with beige leather interior, power everything, and I still cant believe that its a 15 year old car. The prior owner or owners really babied this car and it shows. It rides so smooth and quiet, its like flying. And the best part about it is I only paid $400 for it.

  • Cadillac is Cadillac - 1991 Cadillac Eldorado

I love this car. I bought it 2 months ago but I love every bit of it. Its pearl white and its an amazing car that commands respect. So far every car mechanic who have seen it asked which year it was and if Im passing through a small street, opposing cars park on the side giving me a way to go, EVERYTIME! Of course its an 18 years old car that needs to be taken care of but its a pure classic car and its worth it! I hate to see all these people taking a classic car and turning it into an auto-clown by installing 22" rims, etc, and thats why Im keeping it classic.

  • A Dream Car With Baggage. - 1998 Cadillac Eldorado
    By -

My Cadillac ETC is my dream car. It has everything but OnSt*r. The exterior body design is unique and sleek. The interior design is Sweeping, modern and extremely attractive. But the Baggage is the NorthStar Engine. No one can afford to repair it unless you have Warrantee. It suffers carbon build up which requires occasional WOTs to clean out. Search the Cadillac forums and search WOT. Though toted by GM as the best engine ever, it is a night mare in costs when repairs come, even small ones, repair cost is excessive. My ETC was my dream car and I enjoy it emensly but I am concerned when that NorthStar should have a problem. You really need to weigh your need vs a junk NorthStar eng.

  • Still Awesome After All These Years! - 1996 Cadillac Eldorado
    By -

I purchased a one-owner (with all service records), 88K miles, exceptional condition white with gold accent package 1996 Caddy Eldorado two months ago. All I can say is wow! Even after 13years since it was produced this baby is still an eye- catcher and exceptional driver. Comfort, creature features, and not too big or too small to drive like a purebred sports car. Plenty of room to throw the occasional kid in the back with room to roam.

  • Hard and Fast - 2002 Cadillac Eldorado
    By -

Was intended to be a around town shopping car, but since I work out of town now it is a interstate highway car. Really enjoy the W.O.T. exercise when entering the highway from various rest stops. Fuel mileage is good at 23 to 26 mpg. Plus it just looks good and feels good to drive it.

  • Reliable Classic - 1992 Cadillac Eldorado
    By -

Gracious, old-fashioned Italianesque (Pininfarinas spirit?) beauty with a classic flair. The handling is very precise and feels crisp and agile -- with quick response of a spiffy little sports car, but with all the safety benefits of a big heavy car. The car is extremely comfortable to drive. The seats are thick and firm and this helps me feel less tired after long trips. I have the sports analog gauge. Still runs on original transmission and 4.9L V8. Past repairs:air suspension, some worn original gaskets & seals, oil pump. Planned:a/c compressor, struts. Otherwise maintenance. I love that pulling trouble codes is built right into the controls. Overall a good, reliable car over the years.
