Junk - 1997 Cadillac Deville
By scharfenberg - September 1 - 3:21 amI would never by a Cadillac again. Ive replaced the motor due to head bolts stripped out of motor. They make an 800 dollar kit to fix the problem but it did not work due to already being done the wrong way. If I were you stay away from 96 to 2000 or you will have a bill of 3500 dollars like i did. If youre thinking about buying one I have this to say to you. Its the biggest pile of junk there is and if I were gm i would be ashamed of putting my name on it.

Lemons - 1997 Cadillac Deville
By Fletch - July 1 - 11:10 amMy DeVille had roughly 900 miles and the front tire rim and all went flying across 3 lanes of traffic. I bought the car new off the dealers show room floor and its title stated 3 miles, but the odometer read 35 miles. I drove it for less than 5 minutes when we noticed a vibration in the front end, took the car back 5 or 6 times then the front tire came flying off. I wanted paper work for all the times the car was back in the shop, but the dealer wouldnt give it to us since they KNEW for a fact they sold us a lemon. With 35 miles on the car somnone from the dealer had to know there was a vibration and the car had flaws, also a new car should have 5 miles or less when titled we got hosed big time.

GM pulled the wool over our eyes... - 1997 Cadillac Deville
By wordofmouththeonlywa - August 22 - 2:00 amGM sold us a bill of goods here. As soon as the warranty was up (only 4 years) this p.o.s. started falling apart. The name CADILLAC used to mean quality that you could trust. I have seen nothing but problems with this car. From headlights literally falling off to fuel sensors or pumps or something shorting out IN the gas tank causing the electrical system to go haywire??? You tell me why I should pay over $40g for this again??? Very disappointed and of course GM says, "Thank you for purchasing a Cadillac and we appreciate your informing us of how to improve our products." Basically "screw you sucker. We got ours."
