The best luxury value for under 20 grand - 1993 Cadillac Allante
By Joseph - February 28 - 10:52 amYou would have to look far and wide to find a better, more fun car to drive vehicle for the money. This car still turns heads. I have had the opportunity to sell it for more than the $19,800.00 that I paid for it!

Excellent car for the well informed - 1991 Cadillac Allante
By GFattore - September 7 - 7:43 pmSeries II (1990.5 -1992) Allantes are the best value in a semi-exotic in the market. The Recaro seats have firm support and are not appreciated by the heavy-bummed gold-chained set. The handling improves dramatically by the fitment of contemporary tires and better brake pads. Fit and finish are exemplary. Make sure you bleed the Teves brake system annually. No Northstar, but much better interior materials than the 93 version. This is a very under-rated car and reliable if mundane Cadillac drivetrain. Buy one for the price of a used Ford, and enjoy the ride. Upgrade of sound system is mandatory.

Fun Cadillac - 1990 Cadillac Allante
By DAMON - August 25 - 8:42 pmThe Allante is a unique car and a lot of fun to drive. The Italian body is timeless and looks just as good today as it did 15 years ago. The car needs to pampered, yet I drive my almost every day. Not unusual to get over 21 mpg in combination of highway and city driving.

Cadillac Allante - 1992 Cadillac Allante
By David Twombley - March 24 - 1:23 pmIve owned my 1992 Cadillac Allante for eleven years. Overall it has been a delight. It is a very shopisticated car, even today, and has features that most cars never did, like mulitplex wiring, which allows all of the lamps in the car to be monitored for proper operation. Its biggest drawback is the Bosch anti-lock braking system. The 1993 model had a simpler system. Though an excellent system overall, it is very expensive to repair. The car is still a "head turner.: Its Pinninfarina styling is truly timeless.

My Dream Car - 1990 Cadillac Allante
By Blue Skies - October 17 - 2:00 amI remember seeing an Allante several years ago, "What was that?" it made my head turn. 7 years later I could afford to buy my dream car at a Kia dealer with brand new cars selling for $8K. Who would buy a 10 year old car for $16K? Ha! No one knew a diamond in the rough! All the bells and whistles in a convertible disquised under the hard top! With a 3 year warranty its been worth every penny on a sunny Seattle day (yes, rain too!) Ive now extended the warranty for another two more years! How many cars out there can have such luxury/affordability as a teenager of 13? Im contemplating selling it, but every time I look around nothing can compare!

Good try, Cadillac - 1991 Cadillac Allante
By AllanteLover - December 25 - 2:00 amI really like my Caddy. The car has had its problems with the conv. top, but nothing that couldnt be fixed. The only problem I have with the car is the seats. The seats seem a little too stiff for me but I get used to them. This car is a major head turner and their arent a lot out there anymore. Its my baby I never had.

Best Cadillac ever built - 1991 Cadillac Allante
By Dennis Garrity - December 5 - 2:00 amThis is a high performance two seater that will blow the socks off all the competition. The manual convertible top takes getting used to but is a snap once you know it. In fact I can have it up and down faster than most automatic tops. The Pinafarina coach work is exceptional.

Satisfying Fun Vehicle - 1990 Cadillac Allante
By skinsfan - November 15 - 2:00 amThis was once a bad ass car. Initially selling for $55,000 and up. The engine is a thing of beauty a durable strong 4.5L V8 with lots of power. The weakpoints on this vehicle would be the convertible top (was not manufactured durably enough as it leaks). The electronic system also has occasional flaws. And, because it comes standard with a Bose sound system, if you want to change anything, you must remove the entire system. All in all a very fun car to own, but not recommended for a day to day driving vehicle.
