Automatic high-beam control has been added to the Driver Awareness and Driver Assist packages on the 2014 Cadillac ATS, while a 110-volt power outlet is now included in cars with the navigation system. This car is not for the masses - 2014 Cadillac ATS
By tchasman - September 20 - 8:02 pmI have had my ATS for a year now. Nothing major has happened. Even though I have to push down on the accelerator more when I have the A/C on, it picks up with strength. I use mid-grade gas and I can get 34+ mpg hwy. miles (according to the on-board computer. Have the 2.0 turbo with AWD and Auto). Very smooth running engine on the hwy. Acceptably quiet on the road. Kick-ass base audio (try XMs 90s channel and hold-on. Whats the wattage?). I like the firm suspension which is very strong (durable) too. Held up to a Michigan pot hole (i.e. crater) that took out both left side wheels. Not a scratch to the suspension or the Michelin run flats (they didnt blow. Need about 35psi). Did reasonably well in the snow last winter. Some of the real negative comments confuse me. I know there can be "Lemons" made. I didnt get one. The only down side is the resale value. Not a good show, GM. Good thing I am purchasing. I will keep it as long as it keeps on running like it is now. Like my title says. This car is not for everyone. It works fine for me.

Shrinks - 2014 Cadillac ATS
By austinp4 - July 26 - 7:01 amI fell in love with the car during the test drive because of the technology and the styling of the interior. Unfortunately, that ended the first time I tried to have a friend ride in the back seat. If youre over 5-9", theres no way an adult can ride behind you. If they had added 4 inches of leg room, Id love this car. I dont know why they didnt just make this a 2-seater. I may end up trading it in for something larger.

Update after 5,000 miles - 2014 Cadillac ATS
By vroom2 - March 23 - 9:14 amI previously posted my initial impressions of the ATS and here are some thoughts after another 5K miles on the odometer: Now that the engine has some miles on it, the fuel economy has improved to meeting or exceeding EPA numbers. Expect 30-33 MPG on the highway and 20-22 in town. This car needs premium gas. Lower grades will dull performance and increase fuel consumption considerably. I still miss real buttons and knobs on the CUE system but its no reason not to buy the car. The small 10cu feet trunk is enough for a road trip for two but no more than that.

Perfect balance of sport and comfort - 2014 Cadillac ATS
By vroom2 - December 22 - 12:22 pmAfter owning four consecutive 3 series BMWs I found myself unhappy with the latest model. The new 3 seemed not as well posed or as much fun to drive as the past models and had grown to nearly the size of the old 5 series. This where the Cadillac ATS is the perfect fit. It wonderfully direct steering, a stiff chassis and the perfect balance of sporty handling and comfort. There has been much talk about the CUE system and, while not as easy to use as other, it is perfectly usable once you get used to it. Fuel economy is not meeting its EPA estimate but that may have something to do with the way I drive it.
