Model Overview:

It's no exaggeration to say that the BMW 5 Series sets the standard for premium sport sedans. Introduced for the 1972 model year, the midsize 5 Series has long offered a near-perfect blend of performance, luxury and interior room. It's also highly regarded for its refined styling and innovative technology features.

Most BMW 5 Series models you'll come across will be rear-wheel-drive sedans, though you'll stumble upon the occasional 5 Series wagon on the used car market. In addition, all-wheel drive has been optional for some time, and many used sedans in colder climes will be so equipped. Traditionally, the 5 Series has featured an inline six-cylinder gasoline engine, but BMW has also offered V8 engines, turbocharged four-cylinders and even diesel-powered options. When people ask us to recommend luxury cars, the BMW 5 Series is invariably high on the list, new or used.

Incredible. BMW has created a 911 with four doors and a comfortable ride. Last year of the current car, sold a 98 to buy the 02. Cant say enough about it.

Great car. You will not be disappointed. Solid handling, fun to drive, great stereo and I love the Sirius radio. A drivers car. What more could you ask for? Will definitely be a repeat customer. Take the plunge.

  • Love it. - 2007 BMW 5-Series

I bought this 530i to replace another luxury sedan. Riding in the 530i is incomparable, you feel like a billion bucks, well at least a million. Go compare a test drive with other luxury autos, youll feel the difference. In the end, all else is just not a BMW and you get what you pay for.

  • 525 with M package - 2003 BMW 5-Series

It is probably the best car that I have ever driven, and I test drive cars for fun sometimes. This is not a cup holder type car especially if you have a stick shift, which doubles the fun for me. I dont eat, drink, or do much of anything else but totally enjoy the daily driving experience. I love spending 2 hours washing it inside and out. It does not have a lot of horse power but the torque made a Mustang GT seem like a turtle to me. I will probably never get rid of it.

  • Man This Car is Fast!! - 2003 BMW 5-Series

I bought the 03 540i with M Sport Package Steptronic Transmission, Nav black on black and I couldnt imagine driving the V6. This car has head jarring torque, it scares all those in the passengers seat, and the 18 inch wheels make the 290 horses stick like glue. I heard the 525/530 handles a little better because theyre lighter and weight distribution is closer to 50/50, but Id rather have the power, knowing this is one of the faster cars on the road, you cant help but use the autostick at red lights. Other cars must respect this car on the road, and for all those who complain about the cupholder, you can buy one that goes in the slider drawer and pops up for $89 online.

  • This car is great - 1995 BMW 5-Series

This is a great car. I have had two BMWs both 525is. They are both great cars and you cant compare to the quality in it. Also is very good for drifting if youre into that thing.

  • Love my 525i - 1994 BMW 5-Series
    By -

I purchased my 525i ~3 yrs. ago with 75000 miles on it. I currently have 138000 miles on it and its running strong. I love it so much that I plan to keep it to keep the miles down on the 1999 bmw 528i that I just purchased on eBay. It only has 31,000 miles and is like a time warp...showroom new. I only paid $7600.00 for the 1994 model and havent had a payment for 3 yrs. Only routine maintenance except water pump at 105000 miles. Still a good looker despite the harsh coal country driving conditions here in SW Virginia. I still get excited when my foot hits the gas and the inline 6 just keeps pulling...90, 100, 110, 120, 128 before I finally pulled back on the reins. WOW!!

  • Thats the Radio for 50K - 2006 BMW 5-Series
    By -

The car is one of the most sure footed cars I have ever driven. I have two concerns - first there is a rattle in the back deck that the dealer fixed for a few day - it will be going back and second is the radio. I cant believe the tinny distorted sound I get from the radio. I brought it back to the deal and was told it was working as designed and I cant upgrade it. Looks like aftermarked to fix it. Listen well to the radio before you buy.

  • My review. - 2006 BMW 5-Series

I just recently purchased the 2006 BMW 530i from a dealer in Phoenix drove it back to Canada and the whole time I was driving it I never was once bored. Two and a half days of straight driving and I wish I were still driving it. Driving through the mountains was great - it handled the turns perfectly. I love this vehicle.

  • Best of all - BMW - 2003 BMW 5-Series
    By -

Purchased 530i with Primium and sports packages about two weeks ago. It is absolutely the best car that I have ever driven, the performance, the handling, the road manner, the design, .... I have also test-driven 525i w/o the sports package before deciding to go with the 530i. 525 is an equally nice car but I felt it switched gears often and it made the riding less smooth. Besides, I got the car with very very good price.
