My best car - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Golfer 2 - January 18 - 2:00 amI just traded in my 03 530I after going for a test drive in the new 5 series. It is a great looking car that gets attention from other motorist. It has a sporty look without a sports package. The interior is more spacious. I love the I drive, the improve sound system, and the 6 speed tramission. This car is a winner.

Performs as promised - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Stevewelz - January 13 - 10:00 amIve driven this car for 3 weeks and I continue to be impressed daily with the smooth steady powerband of the V-8 and the very quick handling dynamics. This car surprises you with what it can do. Build quality and fit and finish is excellent and I enjoy driving a car that is distinctive in design. This is a car that provides the comfort of a large car and the handling of a well- balanced sport sedan. I have owned 4 cars from the other 2 German competitors in the past 12 years and the BMW is by far superior to them all.

Love my new 5 series! - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By John D. Morrow - January 13 - 10:00 amVery fun to drive. Lots of power you wouldnt believe it is only a 6 cylinder. The iDrive is not bad once you learn how to operate it. It took about 45 minutes just sitting in the car, with the owners manual, and playing with it to learn the system. Once you figure everything out you will love the car.

Love my 545i - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By KnitWit - January 8 - 10:00 amCouldnt wait til it came in. Followed the production and shipping process online with the password that the Dealer gave me. Its all that I expected and more. A dream to drive and fast! Yes, fast but total control and very responsive. Never steered anything like this car *Active Steering* is amazing as is the blast of testosterone when I accelerate. Sport Package is a must have - dont even think about passing up that option. Not to mention the nickel plaited trim and the black trim around the windows (only with the sport package) in place of "Dads" chrome trim. Its not perfect but damn close! Indulge in the Ultimate Driving Machine!

Love my 530 - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By LoveMy530/Gihugic - December 13 - 10:00 amThe new 5 series is a truely amazing vehicle. Ive owned an A6 and driven all of the competition and the 530 is on a whole new level. This is the most quiet, smooth and feature loaded car Ive ever driven. I love looking at it, sitting in it and best of all driving it. Steptronic is much improved over previous years and performance and braking are above the competition. Id highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a true German sports sedan.

New 525i is Sweet - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Woody the Terp - December 13 - 10:00 amThe new 5 series is a completely different car in all aspects -- comfort, handling, sophistication, and luxury. I opted for the 6-speed manual just for the fun of it, and with the smaller 6 cylinder engine, I thought it would be a help. I test drove the automatic, though, and that would have been fine. For about 4 grand more, you can get the 530i. The extra horsepower [225 I believe]makes a huge difference in acceleration from 40mph - other than that, I felt the 525is power was more than adequate.

Great Car! - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Reddog - December 7 - 2:00 amBought my 2004 in November off the show room floor. Have previously had Corvettes, Mercedes, and Infinities, and this car beats them all. Love the new styling look and the Steptronic 6 speed. My wife loves the automatic drive. Excellent acceleration, handling and braking. This car has a whole bunch of style. I was looking at 2003 models when I saw the car I bought on the show room floor. My wife and I looked at it and cancelled our ongoing deal on a 2003 and bought the 2004 right there on the spot.

Hmmm. a car without coolant tempera gage - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Andrew122 - October 31 - 10:00 amI tested GS300, C320 & 530i in one day and I ended up with a 530i. Its fun to drive this car. Very spacious. i- Drive doesnt turn out to be such a nuisance. Sound is not as good as the 325i I used to own. They want you to pay top $ now for the upgraded sound system. Didnt see weather band radio as described in the manual.
