2004 545i - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Todd Akes - January 24 - 10:00 amLove the looks and the technology. The I drive is great in my opinion and the lines of this car are outstanding. My only complaints is the drivers seat seems to be impossible to tune in for comfort and it seems to wonder at freeway speed more than I would expect from a 65k car. Never the less it is a fantastic car time may cure my seat issue and the dealer may cure the wonder.

Nice Ride! - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Silver4evr - December 24 - 2:00 amI took delivery on 12/12/03 of a Titanium Silver 530ia with light grey leather/Antracite trim, Steptronic Auto Trans, Premium, Sport, Prem. Sound, Parking Distance Control, Active Cruise Control, and Fold Down split rear seat. I test drove a 330ia and a 525ia before deciding. The 330ia was very fast but bouncy. The 525ia felt a tad bit under powered. The car does everything asked of it and more. There are some cool design touches: The mirrors automatically turn down when in reverse so you can see the curb, the music volume automatically increases at high speeds to overcome road noise. Through the iDrive, almost everything is programmable.

Great car with limited frustrations - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By kress1 - December 19 - 2:00 amDrove E320, A6 before purchase of 530I. Happy I made BMW choice. Car is beautiful to look at, I was not a fan of previous 5 series looks or small interior/trunk. Car hugs the road like no other & has plenty of power/torque. My gripes in electronic failures in steering wheel not rising after ignition is turned off. Also STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT IS A PAIN. Also, side mirror turns down only 50% of the time.

Still a Winner - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By Bob L - November 5 - 2:00 amMy 2003 525 was totaled when a pickup broadsided my family at 55 mph. They came out without a scratch! It wasnt love at first sight with the 2004, but I trusted no other car for my familys safety. I got it with the actice steering and suspension and it is truly outstanding. It out performs my 2003 and the new technology is a nice touch. The adaptive xenon headlights turn the corner before you do, adding a little extra safty. I like the i- drive, its simple and helpful. The car looks like its moving even sitting in my driveway. A little costly, but how do you put a price on your family. Dont have one... get one! I love this car.

The ultimate Driving MAchine - 2004 BMW 5-Series
By broke4u - September 24 - 2:00 amI took delivery in the German factory and drove this bauty for 10 days on the Autobahn. I just have to say, this is the most rounded, comfortable and roadworthiest car I ever owned-- and I owned a lot of cars (61). From a stad still to 150mph the engine doesnt take a breather. It just goes like a rocket. The handling (I got the sports package) and the precision is phenomenal. I dont know how anyone could not like this car. I am absolutely happy.
