Overview & Reviews
For 2003, BMW will finally offer a DVD-based navigation system -- meaning that you won't have to give up an in-dash CD player if you opt for the nav system. Other changes include a standard front armrest for all 325 models, as well as a rear center headrest for all sedans and wagons. Additionally, all wagons will come with a moonroof. In terms of options, the Premium Package for all 325s now includes automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, and the Sport Package for the 330xi includes double-spoke alloy wheels and run-flat tires.
- Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
- Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

EXCELLENT CAR - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By gusrus - October 3 - 2:00 amSolid car. Powerful engine. Good brakes. 100% reliable. Its so smooth and silent inside that you dontt realize the speed. The car lines are incredibly beautiful: its stylish and sport at the same time. Still no mechanical problems. It is by far the bes car Ive ever had.

Excellent - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By Kingsley - August 20 - 2:00 amExcellent car, solid on the road, well built, reliable, and most importantly, great to drive. The chassis absorbs bumps brilliantly yet is composed through the corners with minimal body roll

It just goes - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By John Pelkey - August 10 - 8:19 pmI bought my BMW new, no hassle, car and price matched internet specs exactly. 130,000 miles later and it is like the first day. It had an electrical problem and a headlight out that BMW fixed, and Ive gone though two sets of tires. Oh, and two extra quarts of oil. Thats it. Original brakes, original everything else. I get 30 MPG with the heater and AC off, and 28 with either of them on, those are combined miles.

Debriefing - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By Rob Miller - August 2 - 4:39 pmI bought my first BMW, a titanium 325i sedan with sport package, manual trans, leather, and xenon headlights, in spring 2003. During the years I had it, it was as close to perfect as a car can be. Nevertheless, a month ago, I traded it on a 2008 328i, with a sport package and manual transmission. The only reasons I traded were that the 2003 was getting old and soon wouldnt be worth much in a trade. While I had it, It was an extraordinarily good car: fun to drive, very reliable, practically trouble-free, and cheap to own because of the 48,000/5 year warranty. If the car hadnt been so good, I would have never bought another. So far, the 328i has been great--another winner!

Power & Grace - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By OlegODSF - June 28 - 10:00 amMy 2003 Steel-Gray Metalic 330i Performance Package is a 6-speed STICK SHIFT; This is by far the most enjoyable car Ive driven; With the manual transmission & a number of others "M" designed/built features, it delivers a superior bundle of power, speed & grace combined, unsurpassable in this vehicles class!

Great buy. - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By Sean Patterson - June 28 - 10:00 amThis car performs amazingly well. Even the 2.5L engine is well designed as an inline-6 that the performance. The safety features seem strong and have come in handy on more than one occassion. All of my friends say that this is the most comfortable interior that they had ever been in and the ride is exceptional. On a road trip one friend commented that the 3er was the best car she had ever read in because the smooth ride allowed her to concetrate on the text. Overall, Im not sure that you could do best given the class and few cars in any class can match it, regardless of what other tell you.

The Beamer - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By bmer - June 28 - 10:00 amI was thinking of what car I should get and I was thinking of getting either a BMW 3 series and an Audi A4. The first dealership we went to was the Audi. First I tested out the 1.8T Quattro. I couldnt believe how horrible the acceleration was. Next I tried the 3.0 Quattro. Not great acceleration but 3x as good as the 1.8T. Then I tried out the Beamer. Great acceleration. I had narrowed my choice down to the 325xi or the 3.0 Quattro. I decided to get the beamer. Reasons being that reviews on the Audi said people had major engine problems such as broken coils and only 4 of 6 cylinders working.

Buy one if you can. - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By Dutch - June 22 - 10:00 amIt is the greatest vehicle I have ever owned. The dealer told me that it would be likely that the next car I purchase after this one would be a BMW and he was very likely correct. Not only is it fun to drive but the chicks love it too. An unbeatable combination.

Insanely Great! - 2003 BMW 3-Series
By 71pkc - June 2 - 2:00 amMy first BMW, and it has greatly exceeded my expectations. Handling is great, the sport seats firm and comfortable, and winter performance terrific. The DSC and brakes work amazingly well, as I found out when a FedEx truck blew through a stop sign in front of me last summer. One small defect (which should have been fixed before delivery) and zero problems in 20000 miles.
