A six-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) transmission is now optional on select 3 Series models, while a five-speed Steptronic automatic is now offered with the 330i Performance Package. Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and hands-free wireless cell phone capability are now standard features on the sedan and wagon. There are new alloy wheel designs for the 325i, 325xi and 330xi Sport Package. All 330i sedans get a revised grille -- a new black grille instead of silver, with a lower grille combination of body color and black. All 3 Series coupes and convertibles receive a revised front fascia, plus new front and rear bumper contours, Adaptive headlamps and taillights and new designs for both the standard and optional wheels. Interior changes are limited to a revised climate control panel. Finally, Sirius Satellite Radio is now available as an accessory on all 3 Series models.

Pros:
  • Available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners
Cons:
  • Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

  • The ultimate driving machine - 2004 BMW 3-Series

An absolute joy to drive. The car feels very solid and composed and corners with minimal body lean. The engine is silky smooth and the brakes are excellent. Even with a moonroof, theres still plenty of headroom inside. On average, I get about 24 mpg. For about $1,400, the leather seats are a must-have option-- the standard leatherette/vinyl seats look and feel cheap. I was debating between getting the BMW or the Infiniti G35, but I just couldnt stomach the cheap- looking interior and the odd-looking exterior of the G35. Besides, BMW offers free scheduled maintenance for first 4 yrs/50,000 miles.

  • PERSONALY TOOK IT UP TO 148MPH. GREAT !! - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I bought this car last april for my wife as she graduated with honors. It is electric red and natural brown and every possible option in it. What a head turner. So far I have almost 4,000 miles on it w/out any problem except one !!! I cant stay away from this car. Every time I need to go somewhere I constantly ask my wife to give me the keys to the bimmer. It is so much fun to drive. I personally have a Lexus GS430 and yes I do agree that I have much more power but who needs it - - if it comes w/out handling. This car has been personally engineered for anybody who is a control freak at speeds about 130 miles per hour. I have driven it at 148 mph - nic

  • REALLY DISAPOINTED - 2004 BMW 3-Series

The car was built Jan 4/03 which allowed it to be titled as an 04.This car is fun to drive,no doubt. However it is plaged with problems and getting quality warranty service is nearly impossible.I get 13 mpg in city(sane) driving. The car has a new engine computer, engine computer software patch, new fuel log, both doors reworked and distorted windshield replaced with another distorted windshield.I would turn in as a lemmon execpt BMW wont admit to some obvious problems. First and last BMW.

I loved the car, but the repair record was horrendous. Everything kept breaking and the car had to go into service starting at 6 weeks.

This is my first BMW. I have always dreamed of owning one, finally at age 31 I bought a 2004 325I. I have owned many vehicles in the past but none compare to this automobile. The way this car handles and feels on the road is remarkable. Recommend this vehicle highly tio everyone.

Im reporting on a 2002 BMW 330ci convertible, that now has 20,000 miles on it. This car has made two round trips to Florida, and is about to embark on a 3rd. It is the finest car that I have ever owned, and the most fun to drive. I have experienced very few problems with the car, and Fields BMW in Northbrook, IL corrected all of those promptly. My next car will unquestionably be a BMW.
