This Year's Model Updates:

A six-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) transmission is now optional on select 3 Series models, while a five-speed Steptronic automatic is now offered with the 330i Performance Package. Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and hands-free wireless cell phone capability are now standard features on the sedan and wagon. There are new alloy wheel designs for the 325i, 325xi and 330xi Sport Package. All 330i sedans get a revised grille -- a new black grille instead of silver, with a lower grille combination of body color and black. All 3 Series coupes and convertibles receive a revised front fascia, plus new front and rear bumper contours, Adaptive headlamps and taillights and new designs for both the standard and optional wheels. Interior changes are limited to a revised climate control panel. Finally, Sirius Satellite Radio is now available as an accessory on all 3 Series models.

Pros:
  • Available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners
Cons:
  • Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

great car to drive but my car has been in the shop for the last 5 days they dont know what is wrong with the engine and cant seem to fix the vibration in the steering wheel, the sport steering wheel was not even centered when i bought it.I have 8000 miles and they also just replaced the radio???? this is my first bmw and dont know if i would buy another. Air noise is terrible. you would think the windows are down. problems with this car since day 1

The car is so perfectly balanced that it almost drives itself...none of that float, drift, or twitchiness that other vehicles exhibit. The cars power is plentiful while deceptive due to its smoothness. The car is perfectly at home twisting through the N. GA mountain roads, passing other vehicles on the hwy, or cruising leisurely. The car is relatively quiet and it is possible to carry on a normal conversation even at 65MPH with the top down. The car is a real looker too. I hear "beautiful car!" all of the time. I tend to buy cars that are great driving cars - I will buy for performance and ride over looks - this one has all three.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome is the best way to describe this car. I recently purchased mine 6-speed with the Performance Package (M Kit) in Dark Gray with Black interior. I have not seen another one like it on the road (only 5 in California when purchased).

  • 330i nice ss but needs some improving on - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Pros: Great handling takes curves with ease. I was afraid of pushing the vehicle to hard in turns but somehow it begs to be driven harder. Good gas mileage on highway (32 mpg around 65mph)Cons: Cheap interior plastic, going over bumps I can hear plastic rattling as it just doesnt fit right. The engine has a bit too much growl inside the cabin. I owned an IS300 prior to this and Lexus engine is so much more subdued even when pushed. The interior on the IS was more refined simply because the cabin is quiet and you cant hear the plastic when going over bumps. Harmon Kardon needs improvement. My IS with Nackamichi was much better. Overall: Truly a SPORTS car with little luxury conveniences

I bought this car a few days ago. I have already put 300+ miles on it. It is AWESOME! I love everything about it. It is fast and beautiful. It has every toy and safety feture on it you can imagine. The convertable top is perfect and very well designed.

  • Love my car! - 2004 BMW 3-Series

My 325i is fantastic. However, I have moved to CO from TX and now I find I need an AWD vehicle. I am completely spoiled by being a BMW owner and now cannot contemplate driving any other car. So, its either wait for the X3 to come in or get a 325 XiT (the wagon). Either way, I know Ill be satisfied. The best car out there for the money (if you want a fun driving experience!). You must get the manual transmission!

  • Great Car ... - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Love the car and the way it handles. Love the exterior. Interior nice, needs more storage area. I also had the transmission problem. I took mine into the dealer after noticing the problem, and a replacement was ordered right away and installed within weeks. The dealer handled it very well. Its just a shame that one pays so much money for a car and then finds out within the first few miles that the transmission must be replaced. And yes, BMW has not issued a formal recall as of yet (dont know why). But I have heard the issue is resolved as of 12/03, and they certainly fixed mine and stood behind the car.

Ive had my 325 for 3 weeks now. All I can say is that it really is the ultimate driving machine. The SMG is fantastic! Downshifts are smooth and quick. I cant wait until the break-in period is over.

The GPS needs updated DVD muchly. 18" wheels a must. Lines of entire auto follow the front end beautifully.Great brakes, too much brake dust up front. Dont drive the thing if you are susceptable to spoiling yourself with fun.
