This Year's Model Updates:

A six-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) transmission is now optional on select 3 Series models, while a five-speed Steptronic automatic is now offered with the 330i Performance Package. Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and hands-free wireless cell phone capability are now standard features on the sedan and wagon. There are new alloy wheel designs for the 325i, 325xi and 330xi Sport Package. All 330i sedans get a revised grille -- a new black grille instead of silver, with a lower grille combination of body color and black. All 3 Series coupes and convertibles receive a revised front fascia, plus new front and rear bumper contours, Adaptive headlamps and taillights and new designs for both the standard and optional wheels. Interior changes are limited to a revised climate control panel. Finally, Sirius Satellite Radio is now available as an accessory on all 3 Series models.

Pros:
  • Available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners
Cons:
  • Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

I really love my bimmer, and will never trade it in for any other car.

  • All-Wheel Driving pleasure - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I bought a new 2003 325Xi AWD touring wagon to replace the 328 converible I had owned for four years. Although it doesnt have the drop top, it is as much a pleasure to drive and drives like a sports car rather than a wagon. As expected, the BMW acceleration, braking, fit and finish are absolutely first rate. And having already driven one full nasty Canadian winter with the AWD system, I can firmly say that this is the most versatile and comfortable car I have ever owned. Yes, a bit more pricey than many....but WELL WORTH IT!

  • First BMW...AWESOME!!! - 2004 BMW 3-Series

This is our first BMW and we were concerned about the price.... Now, we are glad we spent the extra money for the sport package. What a Great Car! After initially resisting this purchase my wife loves it and now understands what the "Ultimate driving machine" means.

  • Mini Turbine - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Most fun since the 1967 Mustang..the engine is silky smooth, tranny is outstanding and love the sound of the engine. Engine behaves like a mini turbine and the car fits like a glove. It is a joy to go back to RWD car that is perfectly balanced. After 8 months and 1500 km it is solid as a rock. It the first car that my wife and son love to drive. Styling is timeless.

  • bmw 325 Convertible alot of fun . - 2004 BMW 3-Series

This is a lot car for money. I have had two other bmw I 635 an a 735. The improvement is easy to see. I currently have two mercedes as well,a sl an the large s-class. I had took a look at the jag xk-8, but it back seat was to small. I also looked at the new 320clk convertible by merecedes, but it wouldnt be avaiable until mid march or april. Also The merecedes didnt have the option of a hardtop like the bmw. An finally the reliability of the bmw was much better then the 2003/2004 merecedes.

  • better than expected - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I EXPECTED A GOOD, QUICK CAR, NICELY APPOINTED. WHAT I GOT WAS A REAL SWEET DRIVING MACHINE. TIGHT. THE MULTI-MODE AUTOMATIC[SPORTS DRIVE, DRIVE, AND MANUAL]REALLY MAKES USE OF ALL THE HORSES. MUCH FASTER THAN I EXPECTED AND MORE SMOOTH THAN I KNEW A CAR COULD BE. A REAL ADULT CAR FOR THOSE THAT DONT WANT TO BE OLD.

  • Watch front differential - 2004 BMW 3-Series
    By -

Front differential went out at 40,000, no driver negligence. Stalled on a cold night. Shouldnt happen to a bimmer. Dealer ok, manufacturer hard to deal with on car rental for one day, well I was less than 100 miles from home, clerk takes no consideration of driver age, weather, time of day, passed rental cost back to Moses who paid, will not let owner talk to an engineer, to defensive about being sued, which, if someone is killed by this on a busy freeway, they will be.

  • bring your own chiropractor - 2004 BMW 3-Series

i bought the 330ci convertible (2003) on its reputation for performance. i have a five speed manual-shifting couldnt be better-i can pass just about any other car.BUT THE SEAT IS THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE!! i did not get the sport package because my dealer said it would stiffen the ride but i understand those seats can be extended. i am petite-only 5/4 but find the window is so low i feal my sight line has a horizontal line through it and the seat is so short under my legs that i can never be comfortable. i am trading this in AT A HUGE LOSS-WHAT HAPPENED TO BMW VALUE?-FOR THE NEW SAB 9-3 2004 CONVERTIBLE.
