This Year's Model Updates:

A six-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) transmission is now optional on select 3 Series models, while a five-speed Steptronic automatic is now offered with the 330i Performance Package. Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and hands-free wireless cell phone capability are now standard features on the sedan and wagon. There are new alloy wheel designs for the 325i, 325xi and 330xi Sport Package. All 330i sedans get a revised grille -- a new black grille instead of silver, with a lower grille combination of body color and black. All 3 Series coupes and convertibles receive a revised front fascia, plus new front and rear bumper contours, Adaptive headlamps and taillights and new designs for both the standard and optional wheels. Interior changes are limited to a revised climate control panel. Finally, Sirius Satellite Radio is now available as an accessory on all 3 Series models.

Pros:
  • Available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners
Cons:
  • Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

This is my second BMW and I am very happy with my choice. I got the performance package which I highly recommend, for those who love the sportier feel and added power, makes a world of differnece, the only issue with the performance package is, you lose a bit of comfort in your ride. The only other thing is it gets a little bit lower gas mileage than my old E36 328I.

Sporty, luxurious, fun AWD vehicle -- fast, smooth, quiet. Dont be fooled by "only 184 horses" -- gearing plus no turbo lag mean you get all the power you can use in an urban area. Drove other AWD sedans, plus RWD bimmers -- this ones da bomb.

  • The Ultimate Driving Machine - 2004 BMW 3-Series

BMWs tagline of the "Ultimate Driving Machine" applies here. The 330i accelerates smoothly, stops quickly and takes the curves aggressively. If you are considering a 3, this is it. Not a lot of luxuries on the inside (bells and whistles) but paying for the things you cant see, i.e., brakes, handling, suspension, etc. A true performance car. I suggest the Xenon headlights, the fold down rear seats and the premium package...the rest is up to you. If you purchase, do the Performance Center Delivery...you wont regret it. One more thing, no automatic carwashes. Lastly, enjoy the ride, a great road car.

The BMW 330Ci is an outstanding car. Great looking and comfortable, it provides amazing performance in every category. The brakes let you "stop on a dime" without a fuss. The acceleration is really exciting and youll have passengers asking you to slow down before you even reach your desired speed. The cornering is beyond what you thought possible. Four six-foot people find comfort in its supple leather seats while the trunk provides a lot of space. When the top is up, youre in a very comforting and quiet vault. And, even though it is a convertible, the ride is as solid and commanding as youd expect in any high- performance BMW.

Great car, rides well and is a true pleasure... My first one was a lemon back at the end of 2003, the dealer exchanged it for the 2004 refreshed model with no fee charged to me. I would have to say the BMW buying experience is wonderfull and they are very helpfull if you end up at the right dealer (e.g. Stevens Creek BMW not Allison BMW). Ride is great, and comfy. The most amazing things is when you throw it into a curve with a sharp turn at high speeds it sticks like glue on the road. Try that with your Mercedes and youll end up off the cliff!

This car far exceeds my wildest dreams. The ride is so smooth, and there is so much power that I have a hard time even staying close to the speed limit... I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for an ultimate driving experience!

  • xi AWD Safety and Performance to boot - 2004 BMW 3-Series

xDrive ROCKS! Handles flawlessly in any road condition. Combination of AWD and Dynamic Stability Control makes this vehicle as near to fool-proof as you can get behind the steering wheel of a car. If safety is high on your list, but you do not want to compromise too much in the way of performance, ride or comfort, consider the 325xi.

  • Awesome! - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Fun to drive, very good handling, and I can feel the road. This car is just awesome! Ive driven Mercedes Benz C340, Infiniti G35 Coupe, but BMW rides tight and corners well with its 17" low profile sport package tires. No complaints so far...

Delivered by dealer as ordered, with sport package, leather seats, sunroof, power seats. Not a squeak, rattle or problem in the first month. Absolutely perfect! Cant wait to get past the break-in period to really drive it!
