This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

Absolutely the best car I have every driven or owned. The faster it goes the smoother is gets....taken corners rated at 15 MPH at 60-70 MPH and the wheels never slipped. Fun to drive. Sound system fanastic

I have had my BMW just a year. I bought it fully loaded at a great deal. I had a BMW previously, and this is the best yet. I get so many compliments on the car, the Nav system is great, and so far the reliability is better than any car I have had. I had some issues when I first bought it because being just off the lot it took longer than normal to get a few things resolved but other than that I wouldnt drive anything other than a BMW. Next year Im looking at the 645.

  • Very Cool Car - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I have owned the car for about 2 months now and have no regrets about stretching my wallet for this car. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson, this car makes me want to be a better driver. I chose the car after driving the TL and G35, and had a hard time justifying the higher price until the 06 version, which appears to be a better value IF one does not desire all the creature comforts. A minimalist approach works best if you are on a budget because most of the safety features and the phenomenal handling are standard on this car. The fuel efficiency is impressive for a vehicle of this class and only gets better at higher speeds. I find the sport suspension unnecessary and like the standard wheels.

We purchased this vehicle two months ago and have already put 3,000 miles on it. I love the way it handles and the acceleration when passing someone on the highway. The trunk space is deceptive. We took a family of five with luggage on a Spring Break trip and had enough room.

  • An awesome sports car! - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This car drives phenomenally. Going 100 mph feels like you are doing 40 mph. Its hugs the road around turns and sucks up all the bumps so you dont feel it. The inside is super quiet when driving. If I had known that BMWs were so much fun to drive, I would have bought one years ago.

I have always owned Japanese import cars, and had never driven a BMW. Now I know what I was missing. This car is simply one word--JOY. The technological prowess the BMW engineers is exceptional-nothing can touch the performance of this "ultimate driving machine". Although Japanese electronics seen to be more reliable over the long run, BMW has far exceeded any other manufacturer in terms of safety (including Volvo) and performance. After all, the safest airbag is the one that doesnt have to go off.

  • Great Car for the Money!! - 2006 BMW 3-Series

We found our 330xi to be a great car. Its comfortable, has BMW build quality and reliability. We found the run flat tires to be annoying, so we replaced them. Now our ride is much smoother. Great snow traction, and handles the road very well. Cheers!

  • Amazing - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is my first BMW and will not be the last. I love cars and I can honestly say I have never driven a car like this one before. I feel like I am always in control, even in the rain. I test drove all the cars in its class and nothing comes close to it. Yes, it is a little more of an expense, but it really is worth every cent. I get so much satisfaction from this automobile that I never want to leave it. It really does live up to its rep. Job well done!

  • My Sixth and Best BMW - 2006 BMW 3-Series

The new 330i is a fabulous machine, a huge leap ahead from the previous E46 series in every way. Build quality and interior ergonomics are vastly improved.Handling and performance are exhilarating. Sport package is a must have option. The new steptronic is light years ahead of the previous generation - much faster shifting and more intuitive in sport mode or manual. Tested the 6spd manual; its not as slick as a Honda manual. This car is so much fun to drive, I look for excuses to drive it.Very hard to stay close to any legal speed limits; this is a car that loves to run fast,so be warned. You could pay $10-$20k more for a different car and not have as much fun as in the 330i.
