This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

  • Last BMW - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I have driven BMWs for years but this is my last. Replacing the run flats at $1300 every 8 months didnt make sense. Plus, run flats gave it a terrible ride and handling and very noisy. I replaced tires with non run flats. Handled like my previous BMWs but no spare, no room for a spare. The resale value didnt hold up well. I bought a new Audi A4. Handles better, more features. I will not buy another BMW.

I just picked up my new 06 325i yesterday, I have owned a lot of cars from Japanese to American made, but this one is out of my wildest dreams! The handling is superb!! Very comfortable seats, with the extenders in the sport package and the stereo system is awesome! Like everyone else is saying, Im finding reasons to just get out and drive. I got the black leather interior and bright red on the exterior, what a head turner! The dash is driver friendly with lots of info. Cup holders in a funny place, but I think I can get used to that. I think I have finally found my dream car! Best thing was I wasnt even looking to buy at the time, just went looking at the bimmers. Awesome car!! Buy one!!

Exhilarating to drive. Fun, fast rides on rails. Stereo sounds great. Very quiet. Fuel mileage better than all of its nearest competitors. Clearly the best yet to come from Munich. Keep up the good work BMW!

  • The best of the small sport sedans - 2006 BMW 3-Series

BMW 325i version with limited options, automatic, luxury package is a good value and still priced higher than the rest. It is the best for driving experience especially at hwy speeds and gets 32 MPG.

We highly recommend the European delivery program. Nothing like breaking a quality car in on quality roads!

My wife and I love our 2006 330i Sedan. This was the first year for this body style and we loved it the first time we saw it in person at the Dallas Auto Show. After driving it, my wife decided she wanted the standard suspension/wheel package after driving the sport package equipped model. After driving all of the competion, none of them held a candle, so we leased our Monaco Blue model.

  • WOW, Finally got the BMW 3 - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Had Acura TL & Lexus IS300 before the 330i. My take: Ordered steptronic, way good but I just drove my buddys M3 w/SMG. Should of got SMG. Performace: I drove his M3 before picking up my 330, thought I be discontent, nope! Got Nav: isnt intuitive as Acura but does the job. Idrive: cant believe all the bad press, wouldnt have ordered it but comes w/Nav. Anyway, I love the custom programmable settings. No wonder MB, Audi & Porsche are all coming out with their own versions. SIRIUS: I like programing better than XM but the reception blows, not BMWs bad. Terra seats look sweet! Only one CD but it reads MP3 too. On SIRUS or IPOD exclusively anyway. Overall, the 330i is a complete package!

Its only been a week since I picked up my car and everytime i drive the more i like it. Its still not completely broken in so Im not really pushing it to the limits yet. Waited three months to decide which car to get. Looking back now I cant believe I wasted so much time. This car is the one and only. If any of you are worried about getting problems with runflats, I suggest buying one from tirerack and when you get a flat just take to a regular tire place and change it there. Because most places dont stock runflats for this car.

  • Run-Flats No Good - 2006 BMW 3-Series

The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Run- Flat tires dont work with the 330i. In less than 6 months, Ive already had to have one replaced and now I need 2 more. The service center thought that there might be a braking problem or transmission problem that makes them wear out so fast, but it might just be the tires.

You would think of BMW as a luxury vehicle. It is, but add "sporty" with it, you got yourself a BMW. This vehicle is truly amazing. Packs fun, comfort, sporty, yet luxury. What more can you ask for in a car? I still question tail-light design of this E90, but beautiful front facia and side look makes all that worries go away. I am very happy with the purchase. I have sport pkg, and it handles like its glued to the road. Interior is functional and stylish, sport pkg seats are supportive yet comfortable for long drives. Being spoiled by BMW vehicle, I dont think I can ever go back to honda/toyota. Oh, and run-flat tires which eliminated spare tire was a good idea. Keeps trunk roomy and clean.
