This Year's Model Updates:

BMW has seen fit to give the sedans and wagons a facelift for 2002. An in-dash CD player finally makes it onto the standard features list. The center stack has been altered to accommodate the new automatic climate controls. Steptronic automanual operation has been altered so that you move the transmission lever forward for downshifts and backward for upshifts. Bi-xenon headlamps are on the options list so that both low and high beams can glow a cold blue and can be set to automatic operation. Rear side airbags are available for coupes and convertibles. Two new colors, Electric Red and Gray Green (and a Natural Brown interior leather) join the color spectrum.

Pros:
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Pricey for their market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

The car is best in its class..This is my third BMW and the last two were E36 M3s..This car is as fast as a stock E36 M3...The build quality gets better and better..I have had no problems with my sedan and the dealer is fantastic..If, you want more power just upgrade with dinan products..It does not void the manufacture warr and the dealer can do the install.. Dont skip the sports package...Worth evey penny....... Get the 18" wheel option for 900 bucks its a steal!

  • Almost Perfection - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Ive had this car for one year now and has been a blast to own. This car hugs curves like no other car. The accelration is great. A five speed manual transmission is suggested (you save 1,000 or so bucks on the car, plus the car is funner to drive). An added bonus, this car is a giant chick magnet on wheels. If you get this car I suggest you special order it and take off things you dont need or want. Saved a few thousand by not getting the packages and just picking and choosing what I wanted from it. I highly recommend this car.

  • Fun, Fun, Fun - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Previous car was an Audi A-6. My 325 has the sport package and premium package which I recommend. I also have the nav system which has been great. The seats are the absolute best, more comfortable that the 7 series. Motor growl is wonderful, better than the V8. Handling, steering, suspension are supurb. Unfortunately, reliability is not there.

  • BRAKES?? - 2002 BMW 3-Series

the rear brakes seem like a problem as does the clunking in the automatic transmission and the heating system is strange; it doesnt heat up completely in cold weather

  • ALMOST PERFECT... - 2002 BMW 3-Series

This vehicle IS fun to drive. It handles extremely well around the turns, has above avg acceleration, and excellent braking ability. The car does not do well in the snow even w/ the DSC traction control on, but I knew that before I purchased. When negotiating the price, the dealer would not budge much at all.Everybody wants one of these “bad boys” and they know that.BMW also has a high resale value - another big plus! Gas/brake pedal are too close together.I wear a size 12 mens shoe. Many times a get my foot caught under the brake pedal when taking my foot off the gas and attempting to brake-NotGood

Well i bougth the car in febraury and the car interior is small for 65" persons.the interior is nice and the body lines are gorgeous but is not the best BMW ever. The car broke the tranny at 1600 miles at 1900 miles I got electrical problems with interior and at 2000 another tranny and a brand new engine. this is my last BMW ever! after owning a 750 a 740 and a 735

Have had this BMW for about 9 months. It replaced a Camry -- much more fun to drive, more comfortable, great front end look. I live in LA and this car makes me love driving!

I purchased this car(325XI w/Sport Package) after driving the WRX, Audi 1.8Q and 3.0Q and S60AWD. The car with the 17inch tires is a paragon of perfection, if you are keen on a wonderful tactile machine that communicates the road to you in ever so many ways, this is the automobile for you. None of the competition can match its lovely moves on the road. Throughly recommended, as also Kelly BMW in Columbus (Bill Reifsteck)!

  • 11th bmw and still counting - 2002 BMW 3-Series

never can get enough of this make. and the new 330ic is about the best one yet.decided to get one with steptronic as no manual available for months; still question that decision, for as great as the 5 spd auto is, the stick (my other car is a 330 coupe with stick) is superior for the sheer fun and performance limits of these cars.

  • Very impressive - 2002 BMW 3-Series

I just traded in my 97 328iC and 93 Integra (summer and winter cars) for a 325xi. With the huge moonroof open its practically a convertible and with the AWD rainy and snowy days wont be so bad now. Especially when you consider reliability, it easily beat out the Audi A4 Quattro and Mercedes C240 4MATIC and any SUV. All comparisons aside, I love this car for what it is. I thought Id miss the convertible - no way (even if its 70F today). My 120mi/day commute will now be a near- pleasure. If youve got $35K to spend this is the only car to consider.
