This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

  • My Arctic Green Flying Machine - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Im about to cross the first 30,000 miles with my 325i, and it has been my favorite car of any Ive owned in 25 years. Its fast and sure and feels like 50 mph when youre going 80. Ive had absolutely no maintenance problems, and the dealer has been very accomodating about delivering the promised "free service" as far as oil changes and various check-ups. This car makes me feel safe and, frankly, well off, even though Im upper-middle- class at best :-) and the leather upholstery has not yet lost its beautiful shape or aroma! The car is flawless inside and outside and seems built for many years of use.

WOW! What a beautiful machine! This wagon drives like a race car. Tremendous cornering prowess. Great legroom front and back... more then my X5 or the 5 series wagon. Fun to drive and even more fun when driven harder. Fit and finish are impeccable. My car has the navigation system which requires iDrive. I have no problems with iDrive. The voice command system is great. I look forward to every chance I can get to drive this wagon. When you have this much fun your aging clock runs backwards. I hope to be five years younger next birthday.

Purchased almost 1 year ago and have no complaints. Car is very solidly built with more than enough standard features. Looked at the G35, A4 and Acura TL and none had the total package of handling, performance and comfort as the BMW.

If you are looking for an exceptional car, just take a drive in the 325i. First, you slide into the comfortable leather seats and push the button to start the engine. Now, put the auto/manual lever in first gear and put your foot into the gas. The car takes off in a split second. Now, as the tachometer revs, shift into the other gears and you think that you died and went to heaven. The 325i is in a class by itself. It is a beautifully styled car. Great work BMW!

  • As Close To An M3 As You Can Get - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is one great car. I bought it as a second car so im not putting miles on my brand new Evo 9. The car is excellent. The accleration is very nice and smooth. A fat powerband an power over the entire rpm range. Wanna pass that truck? A downshift isnt even needed to even at 2500 rpms. The handling is excellent, the suspension and steering are very comminucative and constantly sends messages to the driver which is why its best to stay on smooth roads. At low speeds it feels quick but not fast, at high speeds around 90mph it feels like a race car, you feel like theres no end to the speed and fun, even at 140. This is a great car an gets all the looks and is pure fun to drive. Good Job BMW

The new 3-series is a joy to drive. Great exterior styling, comfortable interior with more "elbow room" than previous 3-series incarnations and lots of fun gadgets.

  • BMW Does it Again!!! - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Its been awhile since I have been behind the wheel of a BMW and the changes that have been made to the 325i since then have been dramatic. Honestly for the price, I dont see how anyone could honestly find fault. It clearly blows all comparable eqipping luxury mid-size sedans out the water (i.e. Audi A4 or Mercedes C Class). The fact that all maintenance is covered for 4 years/50,000 miles doesnt hurt either! Happy driving!!!!

BMW has done a great job enhancing the 3 series. More rear seat space and trunk space, improved transmission, great stereo and of course great looks. Bought my 2006 325i last week and the dealer service was excellent. Performance, fuel economy and free scheduled maintenance were huge factors in my decision to buy this car.

  • best bmw yet - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is my fifth BMW since 1994. I have had 2 540s and three 3 series. I have also owned Lexus, Acura, Volvo... multiples of each, and still own a Porsche This new 330 is the best yet. It literally does it all... performs great, drives smoothly, quietly and gets GREAT gas mileage - 27mpg all around and over 32 on the highway. Would recommend the larger engine 330, but both are fine.
