Overview & Reviews
New standard goodies adorn 3 Series two-door models in 1999.
- Not all the models get revised at the same time. Coupe and convertible fans will have to make do with the former design.

Disappointed - 1999 BMW 3-Series
By MikeD1 - October 14 - 2:00 amIm disappointed with the number of problems that I have experienced since buying the BMW 323i. I was expecting more based upon the reputation. I like the car, its fun to drive, but Im in the dealership for repairs every few months....broken window glides, defective interior light, body molding coming off the exterior, battery failure. Beware.

Fun Car if you afford it! - 1999 BMW 3-Series
By rickn - August 20 - 2:00 amAfter owning the 323 for three years, I can tell you it has been a joy to drive. The handling and overall feel of the vehicle is better than anything Ive ever driven. The only reason I would caution potential buyers is the reliability has proven to be poor. I have had interior trim fall off, many sensors blown and strange electrical/ computer malfunctions. Fortunately, the very expensive repairs were covered under an excellent warranty program. But, with the warranty ending, the annual repair costs will be high. Check with many on line forums discussing the BMW H46 and Consumer Reports, which recently removed the 3 series from their recommended list.

Best for the money, most value - 1999 BMW 3-Series
By Jamie Randazzo - April 26 - 2:00 amThis car is a workhorse/tank. It offers the most performance, stability and safety unlike any other car. Acceleration is a dream while gas mileage is at 28mpg. And I shift at 5,000 rpm. I have only been serviced for oil changes. There is little back-end maintenance.

Perfect except for reliablity - 1999 BMW 3-Series
By davidsmith - April 14 - 2:00 amBit on the pricy side with only 170hp, since most japanese competition now offer 200 or more. But it doesnt feel slow by any means. Design and materials used in the cabin are top notch. Too bad they rattle like nissan sentra. Lots of minor problems, like airbag light being on constantly,(fixed 4 times already) but probably more fun to drive than lot of sport cars. Minor body roll without sport package.

This is a great sports car! - 1999 BMW 3-Series
By hollybuttitta - February 17 - 2:00 amThis car is incredibly reliable and a complete workhorse. Its hauls up hills, passes at the slightest touch of the gas, it wants to run! The engine purrs and its ride is really smooth. I cant say anything bad about this car. BMW makes cars that are strong, reliable, and fun to drive. If you have to enjoy driving you need a car like this- its worth the extra money.

Good entry level BMW - 1999 BMW 3-Series
By tkb - August 6 - 2:00 amGood overall car, look great, beautiful interior. Save money on the Harmom/Kardon Systems its not worth it. The hesitant while the car is hot almost got me hit couple time.

323 IC - fun in the sun - 1999 BMW 3-Series
By Randall - February 26 - 3:17 pmThe 323IC is best with the top down and driving with the open air feel. If I could only use a one word description for this car, it would be "SMOOTH".
