Overview & Reviews
The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.
- Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
- Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

Just like old times! - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Kristy - January 30 - 5:03 pmthis is my 3rd BMW 325i. I fell in love in Germany in 2000 and have loved them every since. The price is great for the comfort, luxury options, driving experience, and safety features. Car insurance is comfortable for a sports car. I like the upgrades on the 2006. For example; run flats, key pod, aux jack for stereo system.

Love my 2nd bimmer! - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By joe fw - January 23 - 1:40 pmI dont have enough time to drive this car! Once you own one of these babies youd not want anything else (but a Masserrati.) Love the bluetooth, mp3 hook-up, integrated remote system a plus and the xenon lights a blast! The car feels more substantial and luxurious than previous model. Run-flat tires great update! Auto folding side mirrors works great too. I really like this updated model!!

Great car, overall - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Charlie - January 9 - 6:46 pmThis is a great car but definitely a product of a different design philosophy from past BMWs that we knew and loved. Thankfully, it has not been as Bangle-ized as 5s and 7s have. I agree with the reviews that some of the original purity has given way to more of a luxury driving experience. Engine, steering, suspension, and braking are typical BMW - great - as are seating and general interior ergonomics, and the sound system is superb. There are a few cheap interior bits and pieces, but the big miss is the total lack of any engine temperature reading other than an idiot light and no real dipstick in the engine compartment.

Glad I finally went BMW - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Erin - November 30 - 7:00 amI debated on spending the extra money on the BMW versus our old reliable Honda and Toyota usual purchases. I am completely glad I spent the extra. I love my car, every time I drive it I enjoy it more. My husband, who is a truck man, loves to drive it, and now argues with me over who gets in the drivers seat. The performance is great. I wanted a sedan with some sport, some get up, great looks, and reliability with solid build quality and this fits the bill.

330i 6-Auto is a nice car! - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By DaveC. - November 17 - 5:00 pmIve owned this car almost a month now, and I really like it. It has very good handling for a 4-door car. Its fairly quick on acceleration, I think mainly because it has a really good first gear. Also, the brakes are astounding! Its really amazing what this car does for you... it has auto (rain sensing) wipers, a cooled cup holder, headlights that follow the road, and all kinds of other neat stuff thats too much to list. I never looked at a foreign car before, but Im really glad I did because this BMW is completely a nice car. You wont be sorry if you consider it for purchase.

A hit once again! - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By bucklaobmr - November 7 - 7:36 amSecond 3 series is a hit! Got auto sport/lux package. Smooth powerful ride. Easy to reach 100 mph without realizing it. Poor mpg however (22 mpg avg). Should have gotten the nav system. Great larger tires (18in) but run flat is hard (and expensive to replace, $250/each rear). Sluggish 1st gear to 2nd gear, better on sport mode. Sport seats get adjustable side bolster!!

Ultimate Driving Experience - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By JRZGUY - September 7 - 6:53 amTrue to its ads this is the ultimate driving experience. The car handles effortlessly and the ride is gorgeous. The new design in up to date without becoming a space creature like so many new models on the road today. They have updated a true classic and stayed true to its roots. Well done BMW!!!
