This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

Being 800 lbs lighter than the 5 series, this car has zippy speed and hugs the road tightly. I love being able to accelerate around bends and turns and not having to slow down. It provides luxury that you would only expect from BMW.

three thousand miles in and I still look for excuses to drive the car (even with current gas prices). My only comment is that the 6 speed manual makes the driving experience so much more invigorating.

No problems and fun to drive. A precision German machine with a solid feel and incomparable handling that slices through the air.

I drove a C class MB before, and had a love/hate relationship with the "ZR" radial tires. GREAT performance but wore out at 20,000 miles and every pothole lead to a slow leak... so when I heard that BMW had run flat tires standard, I took a look then we went for a test drive and as soon as the salesman took off I could feel the 50/50 suspension. This car is made to drive on a race track! Great handling, a bit stiff with the sport package until about 1,500 miles then it smooths out and isnt as jarring. You can take any corner at any speed and never hear the tires squeal. If anyone isnt happy with the standard trans. which holds you back, shift it over to manual (steptronic) and hold!

Great attention to detail. Havent found one little thing I dislike about the car yet. Fast acceleration, much roomier than older models

Bought this car in Aug and cannot stop driving it. It is an absolutely awesome vehicle and dont regret spending top dollar. If you are in the market, dont go for a TL or Audi or MB, go for the new 3 series. TRUST ME, you wont be disappointed.

  • My best car ever - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is the first car that I have ever owned that made me want to drive around the block after ariving home after a three hundred mile trip.

  • Addictive drive - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I have owned an E30 325is, E36 M3, and E46 330is, all great cars for their time. My E90 330i lacks the thrill of an M3, but its better looking, roomier, and more addictive to drive. Handling is superb. Steering feel is nearly as good as an E36 M3. The engine revs smoothly and powerfully through each gear. The sound system is great. The suspension is perfect. Truly a sweet car - the best 3 Series Ive owned.

  • My experience w/ my 325xi - 2006 BMW 3-Series

After driving many other cars, the BMW is the best one by far. I love my new car, its good on fuel, comfortable to drive and ALSO fun to drive! I couldnt be happier with it.

  • 2003 Lexus IS 300 to 2006 BMW 325i - 2006 BMW 3-Series

The BMW 325i has the identical size engine as my old IS 300, 3.0 215hp. So it was great to compare the two. The BMW just out performs the IS in every aspect. The handling is simply the best. The BMW grabs the road through any turn at any speed and also maintains composure, allowing the driver to feel at total control. The IS was so jittery and made you feel nervous. I also noticed the engine is much more refined than the IS. Its extremely smooth throughout all speeds. The BMW is also wider and longer than in previous years. The more you drive the BMW 325i the more you realize that the saying "The ultimate driving machine" is really true.
