This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

  • You wont want to drive anything else - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Bought the 06 325 about a month ago and havent stopped driving since. Ive driven a lot of cars and this is one experience that cant be beat. Controls took some getting used to, but once youre educated it gets even better.

  • Even better than expected - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Ive had my car for a little over 3 months and have few if any complaints. I was considering the 2005 330i since I didnt feel that the 2005 325i had enough power, but am very satisfied with the 215 hp the 2005 325i generates. The acceleration is better than expected and the car is truly enjoyable to drive. The car handles extremely well at high speeds. I bought the automatic since I didnt want to deal with manual with all of the hills in San Francisco and am happy with the decision, although I also testdrove the manual which was a lot of fun. The standard audio system is pretty decent. I would have liked a spare-tire, but its nice to have the extra room in the trunk.

I have nothing but good things to say about my 2006 330i. After test driving it I traded in my 2003 G35. After driving the BMW my G35 felt like a tin can. The G35 was only fun to drive when I beat the hell out of it. The BMW is so sweet you do not have to beat it to enjoy the ride. I have the sport package so the ride is a little bouncy at times but is worth it as you do not even have to slow down to take corners if do not want to. If you love to dirve the BMW is for you. If you like to be driven, Japan has many options for you. Do not test drive the 3 unless you plan on getting one.

  • Perfect LA Car - 2006 BMW 3-Series

The 330i is small but so quick off the mark, cruises like a big sedan, has true steering and the best brakes. City streets or freeways get eaten up. Seat support outstanding. Very clear and easy to read instruments.

  • 1st...but not my last - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I was so close to buying an Audi A4... then I test drove the BMW 325i. It wasnt close. The quickness and agility of this car is amazing. When the gear shifter is in DS mode car really comes alive, well done BMW. The steering and handling is exceptional, you truly feel connected with the road. I highly recommend this car. Cant wait to get another one in 2 years.

  • BEST ALL AROUND CAR EVER! - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I just had my 06 325i delivered to me on 10/15/05 and all I can say is that it was worth the wait!!!! I test drove the Infinit G35 2-door coupe and the Jaguar X-type and researched all three cars and read countless reviews and message boards before forking out $$. The BMW was a classier car and I am happy I bought mine. There is only (3) things I dont care for and that is the door locks are in between the vents on the dash! It took me awhile to figure that one out.The Glove box is set alittle far back and hard to get to. I am not fond of the push button start with foot on brake to start. Didnt know this when my car was deliv to me from Atlanta and I had to read manual to know this

  • Ill never settle for less - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is my first BMW and its so much better in build quality and ride than any other car I have owned. The 4 years of paid maintainence is a great feature. I anticipate great resale in 4 years. But build them closer to the U.S.A., I had to wait 6 weeks to get mine.
