This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

Pictures and quick test drive do not do justice for this car. It excels in every arena; from getting 40mpg on the fwy to having tons of power to the interior comfort, I cant wait to drive my 325 each morning and look for excuses to go somewhere.

  • Superb Sport Wagon - 2006 BMW 3-Series

The new 325 XiT is a superbly designed wagon that is a joy to drive. Coming from a 330i sedan, I was somewhat skeptical that the 325 engine would have enough power, but it is more than adequate unless you are seeking a dragster. The versatility of the wagon, the X-drive, the exterior design and amazing features like the panorama sunroof all combine to make this machine the ultimate wagon. With perfect 50:50 F/R weight distribution and X-drive, this car has amazing cornering capabilities and the same wonderful steering found all of the 3 series.

  • NICE ~ FUN ~ CAR - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is my first BMW, my husbands second, I bought it for his 50th birthday gift; he has driven it a handful of times. If I let him, lol. (I stole it from him!) We both love it! Along with our 3 kids. We have had just about every car out there. IT IS FUN! We all love it!

  • The new E90 - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Having owned 3 E46s since they were released, and just purchasing the 3rd one (330cic w/ performance package) a month ago, I was a bit worried about the new model. So far, I LOVE this car. Internet pictures and reviews do not do this car justice. I purchased a 330i Silver on Black w/ Sport, Premium, Cold Weather, and iDrive/Nav. The car is fast, comfortable (larger interior), fun to drive. Its everything youd expect from a 3 series plus more. The sound system is excellent, and I love the ability to use voice commands to control the iDrive. Add in a bluetooth phone, the ability to make calls with one push of a button without ever touching your phone is a really winner in my book.

Im, on my 3rd BMW 3-series and the new 2006 is by far the best Ive ever seen and driven. It has every feature I could want and finally the performance I wanted with 255 hp. I get excited every time I need to drive and that was what I needed. Go get one and feel the excitement.

All around super car with a balances level performance and comfort.

  • My Favorite Car - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This car drives better than any other. It corners especially well. The exterior styling is exceptional, I love it. I just wish I could have order the car, but I had to take the best I could find in dealer stock. I managed to find almost all that I wanted, but I would have preferred the aluminum trim, split-folding rear seats and comfort access, which I dont have. I wish the car had a better MP3 disk player. It doesnt provide track duration, and Im having issues with it strangely adjusting the volume and sound field in the middle of tracks with s-vol set at zero. Im waiting for my first oil change (at 5,200 miles now) to have the sound system checked.

Incredibly smooth, quiet, powerful ride. Back seat roomier than I thought it would be. Everything seems very ergonomically correct.
