This Year's Model Updates:

BMW has seen fit to give the sedans and wagons a facelift for 2002. An in-dash CD player finally makes it onto the standard features list. The center stack has been altered to accommodate the new automatic climate controls. Steptronic automanual operation has been altered so that you move the transmission lever forward for downshifts and backward for upshifts. Bi-xenon headlamps are on the options list so that both low and high beams can glow a cold blue and can be set to automatic operation. Rear side airbags are available for coupes and convertibles. Two new colors, Electric Red and Gray Green (and a Natural Brown interior leather) join the color spectrum.

Pros:
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Pricey for their market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

  • No compromises - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Bought the BMW 325i after considering 2003 Honda Accord coupe, VW Passat, Nissan Altima. The BMW was the best by far. You dont compromise anything when buying the BMW. Great styling, handeling, performance, quality and a luxury brand. I was yelling-out-loud happy while driving it home!

Ive owned my 325Ci for just over a year and I love the car. Performs great and makes those curves in the road straight. Very solid car. Driving this car has spoiled me and I cant imagine driving anyhting else. I do want more power though. 330 would be nice but can you say M3? Mmmmm. Only problems Ive had with the car is the weather stripping in the door popped out and fell inside the door. Also sometimes the door locks have malfunctioned and Ive been locked in the car. Have an appointment next week to get them fixed.

Absolute luxury when you are cruising the highways, a 4 door sports car when you hit the windy mountain roads. The transmission is a work of art. The car has amazing composure. The communication between myself, the car , and the road was so in sync. I have been driving assorted audis for the past 15 years. All I can say is, I just didnt get it. The BMW is the ultimate driving machine. There is not a better entry level sport luxury. If you wanted what this car has to offer, in luxury, performance, features, safety, relia bility...you would be spending $10,000- $15,000 more. Join me in the experience!

If you are looking for a "drivers car:" look no further. There may be other cars (Lexus IS300, Infinity G35, etc) that offer more equipment at a lower price, but they do not come near to the level of excitment and fun that this car (325i) has to offer. The look of the car is simple and elegant inside and out. The engine is smooth and powerful and the handling, oh, the handling is nimble and agile. The 3 also gets credits for offering all the safty features as standard equipment.

rocket, perfect handling for 4 door sedan. High price but worth every penny. If you need 4 doors and seat 3-4 people and want a sports car- this is it. Absolute rocket, the only sedan I will buy. Compared to any other sedan (audi, mercedes ,etc)- this is it. Not my first 3 series and the only sedan I will buy.

  • BMW 325 Ci Convertible - Awesome !!! - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Fun to drive. I have the steptronic automatic transmission. The manual mode is great. Quick off the blocks. Otherwise the automatic is also great for fun driving. Controls are well appointed. Power top is a must I feel, the Premium package is worth its value. Great car. So far... Currently the best convertible in the market.

  • Great Car Overall - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Fun to drive, wish it had a little more horsepower to shorten the gap between its 3.0 liter 225 HP engine and the 3.2 liter 333 HP engine in the M3!! Had a bizarre warning light come on at 6000 miles that went away. BMW was able to hook the car up to the computer and found the cause and replaced a defective part. Other than that, no problems!

I love the way this car looks and drives. Solid build quality, great to drive, tight suspension and corners well.

  • What a Car !!! - 2002 BMW 3-Series

I previously owned a VW Passat GLX which I loved. The 2003 I test drove was improved but than I test drove the BMW(it is fully loaded). Where the Passat was great the BMW was a whole new world. I bought a factory demo with 10,000 miles and for only a $1,000 price difference. The handling is extreme and car is solid and quiet. Every drive is a new experience.
