This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

This is the first BMW for us. It has about 16,000 KMS (10K miles). Average 38 to 40 MPG on a Canadian gallon. I drove Mercedes cars for 24 years. This new 06 325i is solid, fast, comfortable, very economical, handles with amazing flexibility, has great load space especially with seats down, and is a better buy than the C Class MB for the money. Mercedes seems to be failing to provide their historically good quality. My C Class was only average in quality. The 13 speaker Harmon Kardon Logic 7 stereo system is amazing. Buy one. Dont settle for less. PS: I have driven all sorts of vehicles in about 30 countries overseas

I just sold my 2001 330I and bought the new 2006 model and I couldnt be more happier. I got the sport package and premium package as I had before and the extra interior room is more than adequate. I have had several compliments on the new look and design. It doesnt seem as quick as my 2001 from the start but the ride is alot more comfortable and smooth. I recommend it to anyone who can afford it, but make sure you get the sport package with the upgraded rims etc.!

I purchased my first BMW as the replacement for an unsatisfactory 2004 Acura TL. I am very pleased with the car overall, especially its performance, handling and character. Its a pleasure to get into the car and drive it in the morning. On balance, given the deplorable state of southeastern PA interstates, it was probably better that I bought a 325i with 17" wheels than the 330i with the more vulnerable 18 inchers. Power is, as they say, sufficient, and with ZSP gives a factory stated top end of 149 anyway (were I ever to explore such limits!). Runflat EL42 tires on base may be a problem, but RE050A runflats on ZSP are fine.

It has been a year now since purchasing my E90 and I must say this car has been a real pleasure to own. The car has impressive power and excellent style. There were so many enhancements over the 2005 model that it seemed like a model upgrade at no extra charge (e.g. ’05 stereo upgrade now standard, more powerful engine, hands-free Bluetooth, run flat tires, etc…). I strongly feel your decision to purchase the new 3 Series will be one you wont regret.

I have been very impressed with the drive and handling. This is my first BMW and will not be the last. Solid power in the smaller 325 engine but still very adequate. Good sound system comes standard and the extra couple of inches over 2005 model helps.

  • In my wildest dreams!!! - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I just picked up my new 06 325i yesterday, I have owned a lot of cars from Japanese to American made, but this one is out of my wildest dreams! The handling is superb!! Very comfortable seats, with the extenders in the sport package and the stereo system is awesome! Like everyone else is saying, Im finding reasons to just get out and drive. I got the black leather interior and bright red on the exterior, what a head turner! The dash is driver friendly with lots of info. Cup holders in a funny place, but I think I can get used to that. I think I have finally found my dream car! Best thing was I wasnt even looking to buy at the time, just went looking at the bimmers. Awesome car!! Buy one!!

Exhilarating to drive. Fun, fast rides on rails. Stereo sounds great. Very quiet. Fuel mileage better than all of its nearest competitors. Clearly the best yet to come from Munich. Keep up the good work BMW!

We highly recommend the European delivery program. Nothing like breaking a quality car in on quality roads!

My wife and I love our 2006 330i Sedan. This was the first year for this body style and we loved it the first time we saw it in person at the Dallas Auto Show. After driving it, my wife decided she wanted the standard suspension/wheel package after driving the sport package equipped model. After driving all of the competion, none of them held a candle, so we leased our Monaco Blue model.

  • WOW, Finally got the BMW 3 - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Had Acura TL & Lexus IS300 before the 330i. My take: Ordered steptronic, way good but I just drove my buddys M3 w/SMG. Should of got SMG. Performace: I drove his M3 before picking up my 330, thought I be discontent, nope! Got Nav: isnt intuitive as Acura but does the job. Idrive: cant believe all the bad press, wouldnt have ordered it but comes w/Nav. Anyway, I love the custom programmable settings. No wonder MB, Audi & Porsche are all coming out with their own versions. SIRIUS: I like programing better than XM but the reception blows, not BMWs bad. Terra seats look sweet! Only one CD but it reads MP3 too. On SIRUS or IPOD exclusively anyway. Overall, the 330i is a complete package!
