This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

  • Love it! - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Hands down the best (luxury class) car Ive ever had. Prem & cold weather pkgs; automatic trans. 6-gear transmission is absolutely seamless. The engine feels more powerful than 215hp and simply sings. In Sport-Drive mode (for auto trans), the trans lags by approx 2 seconds, resulting in an incredibly sporty feel. Turning radius is tight making parking garages a breeze. It corners as if on rails. Interior: Seats are extremely comfortable, especially with the adjustable lumbar support. Quieter (less road/wind noise) than expected given some reviews out there. Bottom line: Perfect combination of power/performance & head-turning looks. BMW says it best: the ultimate driving machine.

  • If only it didnt have RFT tires.... - 2006 BMW 3-Series

BMW dropped the ball on this car. They equipped it with (no choice) run flat tires and no spare. The ride on these tires is downright frightening with each bump in the road being bone jarring! No kidding... hit a pothole and you could lose the fillings in your teeth. It should be a dealbreaker for anyone considering this car. The push button start/stop switch is an unecessary joke. do not even think about leaving the car with a valet... he wont be able to shut it off or if he does the next shift wont be able to start it. Ive actually posted a sign with instructions when I am forced to valet park. This is my fifth and last BMW unless this arrogant manufacturer replaces these tires.

  • Perfect except fuel economy - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is my second BMW and this one is hands the best I have driven. The complete redesign is incredible, I like this one better than that 5 series and the old 325 Xi I had before this one. The only thing that keeps this car from perfection is the fuel economy but there is no way to have this performance with fuel economy.

  • LITTLE ROCKET - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I have been driving Toyotas & Hondas now for about the last 10 years & I can tell you there is no comparison to this 330i. With the cost of those well equipped Japanese cars rising "by all means spend a tad more to get this little rocket!" This BMW is fun to drive, stylish, quick, & has an awesome sound system. My only complaint is the Nav system - a little too complicated for me to use when in a hurry - but I sure like the video display for the radio & CD.

I have had this car for about a month. It drives wonderfully. It is a very quiet ride. The handling is awesome.

  • Great car - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Have had my 325i for 2 weeks and I absolutely love it. Used to drive the Maxima SE and they just dont compare. The BMW quality is second to none

  • Unbelievably fun to drive - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I have to say that I was expecting a lot when I ordered this car. And I wasnt disappointed. Its everything I could imagine and more. Driving has never been so enjoyable, and Ive always loved to drive. The comfort access is a must have option, as is the sport package and Xenon headlights. Its not a BMW w/o the tell tale headlight "halos". I love the look of the new 3 series, and the fit & finish is all, if not more than I would expect in a $40k car.

  • Wow - 2006 BMW 3-Series

After 30 years owning Japanese designed cars & trucks (240-Z, Corolla, Maxima, Accord, Legend, 4-Runner, IS-300, ES- 330) this is our first German car. It is as much fun to drive as my 240-Z was: smooth, linear, predictable. I hear it will not be as reliable and will cost big bucks to maintain and repair but it sure is a blast to drive!

  • Unreal - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I have had the 2006 BMW 325I for a relatively short period of time but I am extremely impressed with it. It has great performance and comfort and brakes that are out of this world. Not to mention all the standard safety equipment that comes standard on the vehicle. The best thing about this car is its ability to negotiate the corners. Fantastic!!! BMW has definitely improved the styling and just the general feel of the vehicle.

  • Love it!! - 2006 BMW 3-Series

Its been 2 months since I picked up my 325 xi and I cant believe that I waited this long to get the car! Im a former Saab owner and after driving 9-5 for 4 years (which, by the way, was a lot of fun too), I decided that its about time to make a change. Audi A4, Saab 9-3, and Volvo S-60 were on my radar before I test-drove the BMW... and thats how my love affair begins! :) Whats not to like about the car?! Its super responsive and handles like no other... try making at turn at 60 mph, youll know what I mean. Beautiful inside out, this one is a keeper!
