  • Unbelievable Ride - 1999 BMW 3-Series

This is my first BMW and far from my last. I will never get rid of it but sure to get another. It is the smoothest ride with great handling. Great for just cruising around town and can handle its own when wanting to get somewhere quick. I have had a few little problems when I first bought it like an alignment but thats really it. The brake pads keep you busy with the dust but I replaced those by choice. The exterior is very sleek and sporty and the interior is pretty classy. The engine could use a little more power but I have done a few mods and gotten plenty of power. I have absolutely no complaints about this car and do not plan on having any Just do regular maint. and it will run forever

This car is the best car I have ever owned in reliability, fun to drive, and utility. It has only been in the shop a few times for routine maintenance and performs nicely to this day.

  • 99 BMW - Great Car In Indy - 1999 BMW 3-Series

I purchased my used 99 BMW 323i (32,000 miles)in Indianapolis, Indiana in the Spring of 2005. Very sharp looking car - titanium gray / black leather interior. Excellent handling and performance. This entry-level sports car hugs the road and drives fantastic. No major issues ...

  • The Ultimate Driving Machine! - 1999 BMW 3-Series

I get so many coments about my dark green 99 328ic convertible. "Nice car!" It gets a personal hand detail about twice a month. A four hour labor of love. Many ask: How do you like your BMW? The best way for me to sum it up is to honestly say: I could win the lottery Saturday night, and that would change a lot of things about my life. However, I would NOT change my car. Perhaps buy others, but this BMW is a keeper.

  • We need more hatchbacks like this - 1999 BMW 3-Series
    By -

Americans would like hatchbacks more if there were more hatchbacks like this. A great mix of practicality and luxury. And it packs a lot of interior room into a not very long car. Very easy to park at only 166 inches in length, yet its cargo capacity can carry a full sized dresser, fully assembled.

  • Ultimate Commuting Machine - 1999 BMW 3-Series

One fun car! Brake dust keeps you busy cleaning every weekend. Covered maintenance was awesome. Uncovered maintenance a bit expensive. Brake job quoted as $1200 by dealer, did it myself for $220 worth of rotors. Main mechanical problem was the typical control arm bushings @$600. In dash CD has problems ejecting. Adding CD changer in trunk solved that. Stereo is weak on Bass end. Havent had window regulator problems others describe. Maintenance still a lot cheaper than my wifes Taurus. Overall, very happy.

  • I pay with a smile - 1999 BMW 3-Series

I enjoy this car so much. I actually enjoy sending in my loan payment. It has the best of so many things that make it luxurious and fun to drive. After all these years, it drives like new and there is not any squeaks to let you know its tired. The service at the dealer is unbelievably fantastic. I cant imagine driving any make other than BMW.

  • Theres only one... - 1999 BMW 3-Series
    By -

I purchased this car used a little over 2 years ago. Ive had the "usual" repairs reported by most drivers - window motors, control arms and bushings - but this seems to be a standard problem that all owners have to deal with. If youre willing to put up with a high(er) maintenance car you wont ever want to drive anything else. It handles like a dream and holds the road like no other car Ive driven.

  • The thrill of the corners - 1999 BMW 3-Series
    By -

This car is so much fun to drive. For a small six cylinder, it really moves. There have been a few minor problems, but if you are handy enough, most can befixed without going to the dealership. There are a number of online forums that you can join and ask questions of other owners that are more than willing to help. Youll find there is almost always someone who has experienced your problem or something like it and they will go out of their way to help you because BMW owners love their cars and people who drive the same ones! The cars handling is legendary and doesnt really need to be elaborated on. Truly the ultimate driving machine.
