Overview & Reviews
For 2000 3 Series coupes, convertibles and wagons are all new; the hatchback has been discontinued. After last year's complete redesign, 2000 sedans see only minor improvements.
- Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners.
- Pricey for their market segment, limited rear seat and cargo capacity.

BMW 323i- Things to watch for........ - 2000 BMW 3-Series
By BMW - October 10 - 10:00 amWas not pleased when the window regulators on BOTH the driver and front passenger windows needed to be replaced within 24 months. Also, had to get the moonroof liners replaced twice between 12 and 24 months. Make sure to ask for windshield wipers @ your 12 mo. maint. repairs. (Need to claim they are streaking.) Dont bother writing to BMW about quality problems (windwow regulators) - they will just send you a form letter saying they are sorry to hear from you. Also - the firm they outsource to will be good at calling to follow up on how you felt about your recent repair experiance - but when you complain nothing happens.

323 sports wagon - 2000 BMW 3-Series
By Hifolks - September 3 - 10:00 amThe sports wagon handles like a sports car it is. The back feels larger than the Edmunds review suggests. The cargo room is small, but the wagon carries more than the sedan. My biggest compliant concerns the proximity of the area above the drivers door to by head, there is not enough room, I am sure this is a safety trade- off for headroom. I do not use the visor turned above the door because I have to crank by head to keep it from hitting the visor.

Love It !!! - 2000 BMW 3-Series
By surfer54 - August 11 - 2:00 amI bought this car with 23,500 miles on it. I was looking at a Z3, which was nice & fast but kinda loud inside. This car was sitting next to it and took it for a spin. Really nice and quiet for a soft top. Not as fast, but much quieter and has four seats. Gets alot of looks. Handles great, really good dealership ! I even was able to bring home some wood from my local Home Depot.

90,000 Mile Review - 2000 BMW 3-Series
By maui323 - August 6 - 10:00 amAfter 90,000 miles in under 3 years, Im as satisfied with this car as I was on the first day. It had some relatively minor problems while under warranty - window motors, thermostat re- call, etc. But I can honestly say that other than the tires, Ive put less than $300 into this car. That will change shortly as Im about ready to replace the brake rotors, but really not an expensive car to drive and maintain. I have a 100 mile R/T commute, and Im really impressed with the comfort, handling and feel. We also have a 2002 530, and I actually prefer to drvie the 3.

00 323 Sedan - 2000 BMW 3-Series
By Laborlitigator - May 6 - 10:00 amFun to drive, fun to drive, fun to drive. After adding on 18" M3 style rims with Michelin Pilot Sports, it became even more fun to drive. Since I purchased it CPO, everything is covered until 100K miles which should be fine based on my driving.

The best car on the market in this niche - 2000 BMW 3-Series
By plusdirekt - February 10 - 10:00 amThe BMW motto in America is "the ultimate driving machine", in Europe - "the pleasure of motoring". Both quite accurately describe this particular car. I dont know any other car in this category that would compare to a BMW Coupe.
