Overview & Reviews
The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.
- Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
- Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

Excellent performance - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By BMW enthusiast - August 8 - 5:10 pm1 month review for a 2006 330i 6spd manual. I have driven it 1500 miles and its been a very pleasurable experience. Excellent acceleration, braking, stability, handling, and manuevering. The car never seems out of breath or underpowered in any gear. Delivers good torque even at the lower speed range of a gear - simply amazing. The interior is quite plain & simple compared to other cars at the same price, but thats certainly not enough reason to decide against buying the car. Looks very beautiful from the outside. Turns a lot a heads and commands attention on the road.

All that we expected, and more. - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Dave - August 4 - 1:03 pmWe were somewhat concerned about reliability but the 330i we test drove sold itself to us. We have had the 330i for 3 weeks and we love it. It has performance, handling, luxury features and best of all, it has given us piece of mind while driving it.

2006 325i - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Rich K - July 19 - 12:16 amIt took a little time to adjust to the new styling, in comparison to my previous 2004 330Xi. But Im liking it more as time passes. This new 325i is about as fast as my 330Xi was. It corners about 20% better, even though its a little larger car. The ride is fine, even with the run flat tires. I can accept it as an evolution of my previous car and would agree with the positive new model reviews Ive read about it. The relocation of the control switches took a little getting used to, as in most new cars.

Love It - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Larry Rosenberg - June 23 - 10:43 amOnly downside to my two years is the run flat tires only last 25000 miles. I just installed my third set at $1000 each set. I am debating going over to a regular tire and pray.

Updated Review - 5 weeks later - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Laurie...again - May 31 - 3:26 pmJust hit the 5-week mark and my new- found love for this car has intensified! Ive owned Hondas, Toyotas, a Buick, an Infinity, and a Lexus... NOTHING compares to this car! I look forward to every moment I get to drive and STILL am looking for excuses to keep taking it out. BMW hypes the "feedback" you receive when driving their cars. Theyre 100% right -- EVERY single thing you do translates to the cars handling. Unquestionably the most responsive car Ive ever driven! The sport shift mode is a blast, too! My little rocket and I are officially best buddies now. The Premium package adds a lot of comfort to this charming and confident racer. Best car Ive ever owned!

Love this car! - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By MLF - May 29 - 2:30 amThe 06 is much roomier than prior models and it is even more fun to drive than the prior year models. Im getting 24+ MPG in the city. The bluetooth capablities for the phone are great. Everyone comments on how surprising smooth the ride is for a small car and you cant feel how fast you are going.

Very Sweet ride - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Jon - April 20 - 4:10 pmThis car specializes in awesome handling. The 330i with the Sport Package stays flat in any turn and inspires confidence. I also find it to be drop dead gorgeous. Im a bit surprised by those who rave about the power - its noticably less peppy than the G35 and Legacy GT. Wish they couldve given it 25 more hp for 41K out the door, but hey, its still an amazing car.

Stop buying Hondas - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Troy - April 3 - 1:30 pmI purchased this vehicle as a replacement to my 2005 Honda Accord Coupe. After 15yrs and four Hondas, this is a major upgrade. Far more creature comforts and better handling inspite of the lower horsepower rating. This car loves to be driven fast and grips the road like a champ. Wish I had looked at bimmers sooner.
