This Year's Model Updates:

BMW has seen fit to give the sedans and wagons a facelift for 2002. An in-dash CD player finally makes it onto the standard features list. The center stack has been altered to accommodate the new automatic climate controls. Steptronic automanual operation has been altered so that you move the transmission lever forward for downshifts and backward for upshifts. Bi-xenon headlamps are on the options list so that both low and high beams can glow a cold blue and can be set to automatic operation. Rear side airbags are available for coupes and convertibles. Two new colors, Electric Red and Gray Green (and a Natural Brown interior leather) join the color spectrum.

Pros:
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Pricey for their market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

My third BMW. Had a 1973 3.0cs,& a 1976 2002,so I am a little biased. I think the sport package is a must. Snow tires are needed where I live. Its great how entertaining the car is,never boring.

  • Dream comes true, even better. - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Bought it as a Certified Pre-owned vehicle. Now for 3 months and around 3000 miles, I would say my long time dream finally comes true, and even better. The 5-speed auto transmission with steptronic is smooth and responsive. The sport/premium pkg is unmissable. The I-6 engine is a magic with thrilling sound. Its so torquey that I dont even have to rev it above 3K rpm for acceleration. The suspension is stiffer than I expected, but it helps a lot on handling while not incurring excessive noise/rattles. Once raced with a motorcycle on a twisty mountain road and it rocks. I doubt if G35 or TL can do that. No in-dash CD changer is the only gripe. But fuel efficiency is a plus. Love it.

  • Great All Around Performance Car - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Evreyone expects that this BMW is a terrific road performer but who would have expect it to be a superb snow car. A month after buying it I was in a snowstorm in Vermont. I was passing Subarus and Quattros with ease and confidence on the interstate.

  • A Balance of Performance and Luxury - 2002 BMW 3-Series

All i gotta say is for all them haters out there "claiming" that the BMW has dick performance for the price tag, all i gotta say is if you want a "dragster" go get yourself a mustang, please do not waste a perfect car. BMW offers the best combination of performance when you need it, as well as the luxury, class, and comfort of any "high eloquent" car such as a mercedes etc. Of all the classy cars, id have to give BMW the best rating in terms of balance because a BENZ is just too luxury, no performance, while a WRX is just all raw performance without keeping the driver in mind.

  • Dont Compromise-YouGet what you pay for - 2002 BMW 3-Series

You can have it all! Nobody touches BMW when considering the whole package- including price. Yes, Bimmers are expensive. However, show me a better all-around car within $10,000 of the 330. Compare 3 and 5 year cost of ownership to other vehicles. The 330, while costly to get into, is a better value than its less expensive competition. Some may be a bit faster 0- 60. Some may be more roomy. Some may have more creature comforts. In the end, however, they all cut a corner somewhere to be price competitive. There is a reason the 330 remains the benchmark of this segment - BMW didnt cut any corners! Nobody out-BMWs a BMW.

  • Just this once... - 2002 BMW 3-Series

Previously owned a Subaru WRX, but hated the narrow torque band. 330xi is a much nicer car to drive, but very small trunk and interior.

The car is soild all around, decent interior with original creativities, mininal compromise at this price range, when you drive one, youll know its a steal! Reasonable response from the cars handling, terrific engine/transmission combination, sharp braking, steady and yet nimble, every where I look, I see people put a lot of thoughts into designing a fine automobile like this, gotta appreciate that. Only down side? Too Heavy!

best car i ever drove in my life!!!!!!!!!
