This Year's Model Updates:

A boost in engine displacement and technology, plus an available all-wheel-drive system keeps BMW's venerable 3 Series at the top of its game in the competitive entry-level luxury market. Larger wheels and brakes are part of the engine upgrade. Two-stage front airbags, reduced steering effort, a Cold Weather package and Dynamic Brake Control round out the major changes for 2001.

Pros:
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Pricey for their market segment, limited cargo capacity.

Over 16,000 miles of trouble free driving. The 330i is fast smooth and quite except for the great sound of the exhaust note. Everything is quailty and I have been getting 28-29 mpg mixed driving. On one trip it got 33mpg this is all with the manual transmission which to me is the way to go. And get the sports package!

fun car, bmw reliability, best color combination (steel blue w/ tan interior, dark blue top -- pricing service is "crazy" to give a deduct for that color)-- weekend car for me (I should have got a stick shift)

The title says it all. The car handels great, except has a tendancy to hydroplain in wet conditions. Over 22,000 miles and have had no problems. Tire wear is a problem, so expect to pay a big price for moderate sports tires.

I am the second owner and have owned this car since 2005. It is not only beautiful, but drives comfortably and safely. It is heavy and has great pickup. I have taken good care of it. It has 4 new tires and is in very good mechanical condition. it has some scratches, but looks very good.

This is my first BMW and I have to admit I a sold! Best drive of all the cars I have had or been in. I travel a lot and rent many cars. I have also tried to keep US automakers in mind when purchasing but BMW wins hands down. This is a solid car with great all around appeal. It is also rated safer than the volvo on independent crash test. Finally the service is outstanding and hastle free. I recommend the 3 series to someone who wants quality and performance. It is a great car!!!

Basically, Ive had no problems what so ever with this vehicle. One thing, though, its not made to drag race. If you want a drag racer BMW, get the M3. This care is made for pure driving pleasure. I love just taking the 330xi out on a Sunday afternoon on quiet, curvy, valley roads, and hearing the engine as it goes through the RPMs, and feeling the car respond. The handling is just plain AMAZING on this car. I took a corner that said "10 MPH" going 30 MPH, no problems, I dindt even peel out. The car just stayed glued to the road. Extremely fun car, and pretty quick too.

This car is pure fun. It goes as fast as you want to make it w/o hesistation. Even though its not the fastest car on the road, it feels that way. I drove it from MD to montreal during the winter months on summer tire (I have the sport package) and the car was extrememly drivable in the snow. The reason is because of DSC (dynamic stability control), it worked extremely well. By the way, it also saves you from getting into an accident by helping you not loose control of the car. In terms of realiablity, its been great so far and Im also not worried because I have extended waranty.

I bought my BMW 330i with 16,000 miles on it in 8-2001 and I already have 43,000 miles on it to date. Goes to show you how much I like driving it. This was my first BMW and I have been impressed with the style and handling of it. It sits very low to the ground and you rarely feel any bumps. I rarely use the steptronic manual transmission b/c theres so much power in the automatic. Now that Im 8mths pregnant, its hard to get in and out of, but I hate the thought of trading it in, so Im going to suffer thru this last month. If I hadnt gotten such a good deal on the 330, I probably would have gone with the 325, same car, 330 is more $$$...

fun and sexy. At 38000 miles, faultless. Easy to use manual top much more reliable than auto top.

  • Dream come true - 2001 BMW 3-Series

Since I drove my neighbers BMW 2002 ti in 1981, my dream was to own one. Last year I picked my 330i Bimmer from Munich and since then " I cant stop loving you ". The sport package is worth every penny ! In order to feel the thrill one should drive this beauty on a twisted moutain road because on the autoban there is no diference between 60 and 130 mph - the car and my wife were sleeping very comfortably.
