This Year's Model Updates:

The A6 gets a new 220-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 to replace last year's 2.8-liter. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is available on front-wheel-drive models with this engine. Other mechanical changes this year include stronger brakes, an improved stability control system and BrakeAssist. OnStar telematics makes its way onto the options list, and you'll be pleased to find a standard six-disc changer in the dashboard. Styling in and around the car, such as the head and taillamps, is slightly modified and new interior and exterior colors expand your choices.

Pros:
  • Large selection of engines, well-appointed interior, all-wheel-drive stability.
Cons:
  • Non-linear steering, questionable exterior styling.

After purchasing a 2002 allroad in December I quickly became a strong admirer of the great interior and good engine performance of the 2.7T. My previous Audis had quattro so I already knew the advantage of that drive sytem. The A6 2.7T is a fine automobile with very pleasant performance characteristics, handsome interior materials and an overall package that is purposeful and sophisticated.

This is my third Audi in five years. Ive owned an A4, S4 (great car) and now the A6 2.7T. This is a great exec car with plenty of room for people in the back, yet sporty enough to have fun.

I stayed up nights deciding on this car, then waiting for it to come in. Ive had it for just over a year now and still enjoy taking the long way home. I love it when it rains and I get to see what quattro can do. The interior is utterly gorgeous, integration between the Nav system, built-in phone and awesome stereo system is flawless. Oh, and dont let the weather get cool...performance goes to another level.

After looking at all the competition in this market I chose this car because of its Style, Performance, Safety and Utility. Style- Love the look outside and the interior. Performance- 250 HP Auto with Tip. Very intertaining Safety-All the right airbags, Traction control, and AWD. Utility- 4dr, 4 adult fit well and a large trunk. I love driving this car. It is not too big or too small. I can take 3 other adults in the car and know that they will all be very comfortable. The performace of the twin turbo is good. I have never "needed" more that it delivers. However I would not turn down more power.

The A6 is an understated, fun car to drive. I like the body styling because it is clean and not ostentatious, like a BMW or Mercedes. The interior is well appointed and meets my needs. The drive is smoothe and the handling is very good. I have had very good results from my 1999 A6 (Same Body Style). That car had 75,000 miles on it. The ride has always been smoothe. Minor discrepancies were electrical problems with the power windows and an earlier fuel gauge problem. However, the dealership was great and took care of the problem immediately. The 2002 model is similar, but has a larger engine. The features I like are the 6 CD changer that is located in the dash.
