Model Overview:

The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.

The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

The 2003 A4 3.0 is a very well made vehicle. As with most German built cars, this A4 is very responsive, stable, and for the most part, comfortable. Soft with a slight rigid feel over bumpy road, very responsive with a tap on the accelerator, and corners extremely well although 3- series BMW have the edge in cornering. Along with gorgeous styling, the A4 is a sheer pleasure to drive.

  • Fun AWD sedan with sporting qualities - 2006 Audi A4

Ive loved my Audi since the day I picked it up. Build quality of the vehicle is amazing and the interior is top notch. The full time AWD system is great in any type of weather. It especially compliments the manual transmission providing little to not slip off the line. Engine is powerful and pulls like a v-6. Only thing I would change would be to order the S-Line sports package. You get the looks of the more expensive S4.

  • A4 vs Passat - 2003 Audi A4

Very nice car, but coming off of a Passat, I was dissappointed in both the ride and the mpg. We are averaging about 24mpg w/ 70/30 Hwy/City vs 28mpg in the Passat. Still only 1500 miles, I hope it improves. The ride was much better in the Passat. Also, the Audi has the same cupholders as the Passat did back in 2000 - in the arm rest - worthless! VW moved the cupholders next to the emergency brake, why didnt Audi? The Audi handles better due to a stiffer suspension. All in all, I would recommend the Passat and save a few bucks.

  • Very good, not great car - 2003 Audi A4

Ive had my 2003 Ming Blue 3.OL Auto Quattro A4 for about a month now and overall Im happy, with some criticisms. Before I purchased, I seriously considered the Infiniti G35, BMW 3-series, and Passat All Motion, as well. All are fine cars, but I decided against G35 due to poor handling in the snow and suspect interior build quality/components and no folding rear seat. I decided against the 3 series because everyone and their sister has a 3 series and BMW nickle and dimes the options. I decided against Passat because at 190 horsepower, that was not enough since I was coming from a BMW Z3 with 190 horsies and much lighter car.

  • Not your soccer-moms station wagon - 2006 Audi A4

Its been 7 months of sheer driving nirvana. We have an almost fully loaded version. At first I thought it was silly to have so many add-ons, but honestly cant say I dont appreciate them all now. I love the S-Line package, very sporty and aggresive looking, soooo sweet on the twisties. I also love the new larger front grille design. I wouldnt change a thing on the exterior styling, perfectly sporty yet understated. I wouldnt have a problem recommending this car to anyone.

  • I love my brand new Audi - 2007 Audi A4

I just recently bought my Audi, and I am extremely satisfied. I love the car how it runs, performs, handles, everything.

  • Fun ride and head turner - 2009 Audi A4
    By -

I picked it up 2 weeks ago in Aruba Blue. Love the car and the color. I test drove several cars before decided on A4. You cant compare beautiful interior & exterior designing with any other car in its class. When turbo kicks in you feel you are drving on the race track not on a highway. Love the MMI, bluetooth and iPod features. I love it.

  • Audi A4 3.0 AWD 6M - 2003 Audi A4

Just purchased an Audi A4 3.0 after driving a VW Passat for 3 years. So far, I am very pleased with all this car has to offer. Performance wise, I think it is among the top in its class. It is extremely comfortable, although this may not be the case for rear passengers. The interior is ultra luxurious, and the exterior is classy. However, I do think the navigation system on the A4s need much improvement. (You only get an arrow to tell you which direction you need to go).

  • Poor CVT Reliability - 2003 Audi A4
    By -

The problem is that the CVT transmission is a sealed, closed design and cant be rebuilt or fixed. A replacement transmission costs about $8000 installed. Not worth keeping out of warranty.

  • Style, Quality and Fun Fun Fun - 2007 Audi A4
    By -

Very satisfied with my new 07 A4 3.2Q S-Line and titanium pkg. Ive received glowing remarks on the Quartz metallic exterior and most people "get" the smooth quality interior. Ive got the Navigation system with Sirius radio and enjoy every minute in this fun to drive rocket. As many have mentioned, the 3.2 engine has serious pull and the suspension keeps the car hugging the curves. The seamless bluetooth technology is just another added creature comfort, so is the MP3 compatibility. Love this car!
