Overview & Reviews
The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.
The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

Love It - 2008 Audi A4
By taudi08 - November 11 - 12:49 amI bought this car about 5 months ago and its awesome! The only things I dont like about it are the cup holders under the arm rest and the slight lag out the gate. The lag is random. Its weird, but it depends on the day. The engine is definitely affected by extreme temperatures.

Love the car, but its a heartbreaker! - 2003 Audi A4
By Erin S - November 10 - 4:00 pmI love to drive my A4, which makes it only more painful that its been in the shop more times than Id care to count. Its peppy, smooth, and easy to handle on the highway. Its beautiful inside when everythings working. But, its had more broken electrical parts than I knew existed on a car, and every repair is crazy expensive. I wonder if they fly the parts one by one from Germany! Like others, have had multiple issues with the stereo, sunroof, various lights/indicators, relays, in addition to the dead fuel pump. Tires pop like balloons, and theyre expensive, too. An expensive love, for sure.

Da Bomb - 2004 Audi A4
By Papstown - November 3 - 10:00 amSo here goes....I must say this is the very best car I have ever drivin. The car has unbelievable power for such a small car. In addition to this the customer service at the dealership has been great. The most impressive feature is how the car lights up at night. So far I have shown this car to alot of people and most just looking at it want to go get one. Just be careful you will get some speedin tixs with this speedster.

Would buy another Audi A4 1.8T - 2002 Audi A4
By Silver Bullet - November 1 - 12:03 amMy Audi A4 was recently totalled. Since its gone, I can fully appreciate what I had. Exterior design was so much so that I didnt want to trade it in for a newer model. The engine lagged a little at slower speeds, but remained smooth and controllable at higher speeds, including quick turns. Seating was good. Heated and light dimming mirrors were a bonus. Many, hard to find features were a bonus as well. This car was my Silver Bullet. I had normal wear issues, but they were expected. No electrical issues to report. The moonroof was quiet and the all around heated seats, power up and down windows made everyone comfortable. Looking to by another A4 or A6 soon.

The 3.2 makes the A4 special - 2008 Audi A4
By FlightTester - October 30 - 2:18 pmWe looked high and low to find an A4 equipped with the 3.2 six and the manual gearbox. We decided to factory order one and discovered that production had already halted to make room for the 09 (B8) model. That one wasnt available with the six-speed manual so it looked like the less intersting 328Xi was going to get the nod when the dealer found a car equipped like we wanted (basicly, equipped with everything) in Riverside California. I was going to be there on business, and I arrainged to pick the car up there and my wife (its her car) drove it back to Tulsa. She and I love the car. From the GPS nav to the smooth shifting six- speed, its a sedan that puts a smile on your face.

Awesome Vehicle - 2006 Audi A4
By AvantDriver - October 27 - 11:54 amThis vehicle has been everything Ive expected and more. On most of my highway trips (usually 800 miles each way) I average around 30mpg and thats crossing the Rocky Mountains. The performance of the 2.0T is great for a 4cyl. Rarely do I have to shift out of 6th gear in order to pass or go up a grade. The interior is very comfortable and well laid out. The fit & finish is amazing, as expected from an Audi. Overall, I cant say this car is perfect but any of its slight nuances are easily overshadowed by everything else.

Awesome Vehicle - 2008 Audi A4
By Bruce - October 25 - 5:20 amThis car looks great and drives even better. It has comfortable seats and the engine runs very smoothly. The A4 convertible is a cross between a sports car and a luxury car and it clearly has good features of both. While there is always room for improvement, I am very pleased with how it handles and the multitude of features.
