Overview & Reviews
The Audi A4 holds the distinction of having single-handedly revived the Audi brand. Launched in the mid-'90s, the compact A4 quickly became a favorite among luxury car buyers thanks to its beautifully finished cabin, sharp handling and available Quattro all-wheel drive. Although the A4 has offered these core characteristics from day one, it has become increasingly polished and high-tech with each successive generation. No matter which year you're looking at, the A4 promises both engaging performance and suave style inside and out.
The sedan body style has been a constant for the Audi A4, but depending on the vintage, you may also find wagon and convertible variants. Turbocharged four-cylinder power is typically found under the hood, yielding both reasonably spirited acceleration and satisfactory fuel economy. In road tests, we've consistently praised the A4's refined character, with more recent plaudits going to its spacious backseat, which has adequate room for full-size adults.

By Bob Sigmund - January 27 - 10:00 amI am a little dissapointed with some of the interior squeeks. But over all the car has been perfect.

Forget BMW - 2004 Audi A4
By Mikejp75 - January 27 - 10:00 amThe A4 with the smaller turbo engine gets great gas mileage, has just enough pep for anyone, and the sticker on mine was less than 34k. (Power everything, leather, 17"low profile alloys, tiptronic, all wheel drive, heated seats, the list goes on and on) Unless you live in L.A and have no snow and you want to waste an extra $5,000 dollars on a similarly equipped viechle, buy or lease the AUDI before they realize they could get $3,000 more for the car and people would still buy it. Impress your wallet, not your friends, FORGET THE BMW!!!!!!

The A4 convertible - 2004 Audi A4
By maggienono - January 27 - 10:00 amThe wide threshold results in difficulty getting out of the car. Coupled with wide doors that dont open enough when in a parking space, the car is just not comfortable unless youre over 6 feet, or want to push the seat all the way back to get out. Also, when the top is up, the visibility is very poor when backing out of a parking space.

Audi A4 Quattro - 2004 Audi A4
By m.olson - January 27 - 10:00 amIve had my A4 for almost a year now. Driving this car is without a doubt one of the best driving experiences Ive ever had. Great buy compared to the TL and 3 series. TL is a great car for the value, but the interior and exterior doesnt compare. The 3 series is too expensive once you added ANY features. A4 is by far the best bang for the buck. If you bargain right, you can add almost every option and still only spend around $31k-$32k. Some minor problems (listed below), but I end on this note, if youre in the market to get an entry-level luxury sedan, buy or lease an A4. You wont be disappointed.

FLAWLESS - 2004 Audi A4
By C.T. - January 27 - 10:00 amThe car is unbelieveable. Ive always wanted an Audi A4. Now that i own one, I cant keep myself out of it. My wife tells me that its my second wife and that Id rather have the car than her, which is very true. No, simply kidding. But, this car is great. Its fun to drive and its nice to look at. Buy one! I do recommend it.

A car for the REAL world! - 2004 Audi A4
By JJ300 - January 27 - 10:00 amThe 3 series works well in dry weather but I needed a safe car thats smart enough direct power to the sticky part of the road when needed. I trust this car far beyond the limits of most other cars. I know when my wife and kids are traveling they have an incredible advantage. When you learn how to get the most from Quattro drives you earn a confidence few understand or will ever know. I driven Qs on the race track pushing the limit and beyond, they may be slightly slower to the next light but after a few Ss, little rain or god forbid snow the 2 wheel drives are better off at home.

A4 Avant - 2004 Audi A4
By Sacvolksguy - January 27 - 10:00 amFor the money, hands down this is the best car in its class. No other car drives like the quattro all wheel. You feel very much in control in all weather conditions. I made a very good buying decision! :-)
